The Hilton Foshan truly lives up to its five-star reputation. From the moment you step into the lobby, you're immediately struck by the breathtaking, high-ceilinged space. A colossal ornamental fish tank takes center stage, with vibrant tropical fish gracefully navigating the shimmering waters, instantly creating an atmosphere of luxury and lively sophistication. The guest rooms are equally impressive, boasting panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and sumptuous, cloud-like bathtubs, paired with exquisitely soft, cloud-like bedding. The staff's service is wonderfully warm; check-in at the front desk was remarkably efficient, taking a mere three minutes. I also thoroughly enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools. A special commendation goes to our butler, Lucy, whose service was exceptional. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel consistently delivers a perfect, beyond-expectation experience.

We're leaving the Hilton Shunde today very, very disappointed. I ate some old shrimp the day I arrived at this hotel, which gave me a rash overnight. I went to the pharmacy to buy my medicine. Until then, many of the staff seemed very concerned. And I believe they were. On the second day (today), I had episodes of intense abdominal cramps and almost fainted in the hotel restaurant. You can watch the videos if you want. Two employees even noticed I wasn't feeling well, so I asked for water and went to my room. The hotel staff are spectacular, but I felt a lack of concern from management as time went on. At first, they were very helpful, but then they seemed to disbelieve. Someone at the front desk, I believe a manager, told my husband that they were ”looking into the matter” and that they weren't sure if the shrimp was actually what had hurt me. What???? Was I lying? We missed two days of our trip with our kids because I ate some bad food. And the hotel offered us an upgrade if we wanted to stay and pay for an extra night. Money isn't the issue, but we felt distrusted by the hotel management. I regretted not mentioning at the lounge that the shrimp tasted spoiled and old. I only told my husband. I could have told the hotel staff. I arrived at this Hilton thinking it was a Hilton like the others we've been to, but I saw a huge difference. Especially in ”Miki's” statement: ”We're not sure if it was the shrimp that did the problem.” We are very very very disappointed. I hope it not happening with another guest. Never.
