Crowne Plaza FOSHAN by IHG

This is a long-standing hotel in Foshan, so the service goes without saying – it's excellent. The rooms are clean, tidy, bright, and comfortable. Whenever friends visit Foshan, I always book them into Foshan Hotel.

The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of Chancheng District, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's just a 7-8 minute walk to Foshan Ancestral Temple. They even provide complimentary tickets to the temple, which is a great perk. The bedding in the room was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. All the staff members were very welcoming and proactive in assisting guests and resolving any issues, truly making you feel at home. During my stay, it was the Canton Fair, and there were many international guests, so the hotel must be quite close to the exhibition center. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

First off, the front desk staff were very welcoming and efficient with check-in. Although the room's facilities were a bit old, everything was very clean, which put me at ease. The hotel's location is excellent, really close to Zumiao Temple and Lingnan Tiandi. There's even a small path behind the hotel that makes getting there even more convenient. While prices did go up slightly during the May Day and National Day holidays, the increase was acceptable compared to other hotels, making it a fair price overall.

Beyond the Crowne Plaza branding used when answering calls, this place feels like an old, run-down 3-star hotel. The facilities are incredibly worn out; the duvet and pillows are stained and smelly. The toiletries are on par with a budget motel. The hallway reeked of mildew. Breakfast was a joke, with a pitifully small selection. Its location near Zumiao Temple is also a drawback; catching a taxi at the intersection meant a 30-minute wait in traffic. The photos bear no resemblance to the actual hotel. Getting there by taxi took half an hour because of the traffic.

The location is excellent, very close to Zumiao Ancestral Temple and Lingnan Tiandi. There are also many eateries in the old streets behind the hotel. The front desk service was fantastic – very warm and attentive. The breakfast spread was ample, and I noticed many international guests. For an older, established hotel, the holiday prices were quite reasonable.

Shirley at the front desk assigned us a pretty good room. We only had to wait about 5 minutes to check in, and the room was clean.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was especially comfortable. It's an established five-star hotel. It's also very close to Zumiao Temple, within walking distance. All the staff were particularly enthusiastic.

The breakfast selection was varied, but the staff clearing plates made quite a bit of noise, which was a bit off-putting. However, the front desk service was excellent. I'd particularly like to commend Stephanie, the Sales Manager, and Li Huaxin (assuming this is another staff member or part of Stephanie's name) for their warm and helpful service. They were great at resolving guests' issues and deserve high praise.

The hotel is grand and centrally located, close to the shopping street, Foshan Ancestral Temple, and Lingnan Tiandi. The breakfast spread is very rich, and they even advertise an Indian chef – my stomach was perfectly fine after two days of eating! The only minor drawback is that the in-room facilities are a bit dated.
