Intimate and attractive restaurant with stunning views. Excellent staff and service. Fantastic food and drink - and very flexible and accommodating for the fussy eater! A fantastic evening to share with one another. Fine dining indeed. Highly recommend!

The hotel was ideally situated although quite a hike from the car park, which we got used to. There was no lift and we were glad to have help from the porter. The room was ideal to watch the river traffic and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was serviceable and could do with a make over. The staff were delightful and not intrusive. Realistically, this really is an old house and coming with that in mind, one cannot be disappointed.

A very lovely weekend was disrupted by guests being allowed to use the outdoor patio to party very late into the night/ morning. (4:00am)

Popped in for a cream tea. Two dryish scones. Small jar of tip tree jam and the requisite clotted cream. Choice of teas. All the components of a cream tea but all a bit lacking in content. What was I expecting ? Hard to say but something more exciting and indulgent than this. Pleasant enough service and great view from the restaurant .

Stayed one night and also had dinner at the hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious and nicely furnished. The food was the best food we had on our short stay in Cornwall - and was very welcome after a long day walking the s w coast path. It was on the more expensive side but was worth it! A really lovely boutique hotel in a fabulous location - we will come back but maybe not jn the school hols!!

Another excellent stay; we cannot fault anything. The service, the food, everything. A special mention for the manager Tiago and his son Gabs who were especially attentive but every member of staff was most welcoming. I hope Tiago’s professionalism is valued.

For the price of the room, the stay was disappointing and the service was not to a very high standard. Front of house staff need training. Food was very good.
