This place not only the restaurant but also the hotel. Recently renovated rooms of which are great and spacious. The breakfast searched was perfect, loved our breakfast and the staff working here is very friendly. Not to forget to mention the location - just in the city center! Will be here again one day.

Dikke 1 volgens de website op zondag tot 00.00u na een avondje eten elders wilden we om 21.30 nog een drankje doen op het terras waar nog 10 andere mensen zaten. Dit kon niet meer want ze gingen sluiten ondanks dat we zeiden dat de website wat anders aangaf was de meneer die op het terras rondliep niet op andere gedachten te brengen. Gemiste kans voor hen en zeer klantonvriendelijk

De locatie is prima: middenin het historische centrum. Het restaurant is mooi gerenoveerd in 2020/21. De hotelkamers (een stuk of 5?) worden gerenoveerd tijdens ons verblijf in maart 2022. De kamers zijn bereikbaar via trappen en trapjes op de eerste etage. Wij moesten langs gereedschappen en stofzuiger in de gang en tijdelijk opgesteld meubilair. Beetje slordig maar wij vonden het niet zo erg. Onze kamer was ruim en licht, nieuw gestoffeerd met nette gordijnen en tapijt. We denken (hopen) dat een echte renovatie nog moet plaatsvinden want de badkamer/wc bestond uit een cel zoals die ook wel wordt aangetroffen in de hut van een veerboot en gedateerd bovendien. De binnentemperatuur was net voldoende (alleen een airco apparaat is zelf te beïnvloeden) en een oud schuifraam beweegt moeizaam. Het verfwerk is wat sleets en het tapijt niet netjes afgewerkt bij de wanden. De kamer was wel schoon en wij vonden de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding in orde. Het ontbijt in het mooie restaurant was prima en werd geserveerd door een erg vriendelijke meneer.

Prachtig gelegen in het mooie centrum van Franeker. Diner en ontbijt prima, personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Minpuntjes voor kamer 9: geen vuilnisbak, geen aanwijzing tv (hebben hulp moeten vragen), geen haakjes kamer en badkamer, badkamerspiegel hangt VEEL te hoog, de matrassen zijn slecht. . Niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Het zijn maar kleine puntjes die zeker gemakkelijk te verhelpen zijn. Als dat gebeurd is, is het een prima hotel!
