Bluegrass Inn

This was honestly the worst hotel experience I've had in years. If you're looking for something cheap, then it fits that bill. The front desk staff was pleasant. As far as the room, though, I was very disappointed and frankly don't understand whether I had an exceptionally bad experience or whether previous reviewers only cared about price. The bed was SO CREAKY, if I didn't have to sleep on it it would have been funny. Even the slightest nudge or movement sounded like a brass band with rusty instruments was sounding off under the bed. I don't understand how the hotel hasn't taken the easy solution to this horrible situation and simply removed the box springs. The mattress by itself seemed like it would have been fine. Second major negligent issue was the bathtub faucet, which didn't just drip, but leaked a steady drip stream all night, every second. Since the room supposedly gets cleaned after every stay, I would assume the hotel was already aware of this issue and just hasn't fixed it. Freeway traffic was noisy but not even noticeable compared with the leaky faucet and creaky bed. Came here overnight so that I would be rested for my competition today and I'm falling asleep on my feet.

This place is just old. Room was freezing when I entered. Loud heater on the wall. Tub stopper didn’t work. Door chain latch broken. Streaming TV would freeze up. Room seemed clean. Bed was comfortable. Check in employee friendly, check out person was focused solely on her phone and could care less.

Very convenient to get to Buffalo Trace distillery.

Room was clean, all identified amenities present. Heater was inconsistent; not a big deal for me, but for some, it would be irritating, as the temperature varied greatly. "Breakfast" is best enjoyed elsewhere.

The staff was rude and disrespectful. when I checked out they tried to give my deposit to the wrong person and I'm the one that paid it. They never cleaned our room. The only thing they did was take the trash out and replace the towels. Mind you I stayed for a week and a half. They wanted to charge us a $40 cleaning fee when we asked them to switch us rooms bc they would both clean ours. There was blood splatter on the ceiling of the entrance to the sink area. Then we were told we couldn't rent anymore and forced to leave when we had money to pay for the room. Once gone I got online to search for rooms again and found that Bluegrass Inn still had available rooms so I was definitely highly upset about how we were treated

You get what you pay for. My room was clean. I liked that they did not use carpet in the rooms but the pho wood panel floor. It is a family run business and they are doing the best they can with the property they own. Check in was efficient. There were two people in front of me and they were quickly checked in.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself needs some work, the room we were in was clean but there are cracks in the ceiling and a small piece of the sheetrock missing. Over all its not a bad place to stay for a night.
