Hotel Expo Frankfurt City Centre

I honestly have to say that the location is pretty good. Right in the city center at the Konstablerwache. It's great to get from A to B. BUT: I have never been in such a dirty room. There was hair everywhere, the sheets were soiled and the towels not only had traces of make-up but also brown marks and they weren't exactly small (I think you can guess what it was). I got new towels again, but they were also dirty. There was hardly any toilet paper. Dust and clumps of hair everywhere. The shower was hot and cold, the shower head constantly switched between the massage jet, normal jet and virtually no jet at all. When I checked out, I was checked again from top to bottom and dismissed in a rather unfriendly manner. Also, at night I felt like I was actually sleeping on the street because all the noise came into the room despite the windows being closed.

Beim Ein- und Auschecken war jemand am Empfang der zwar nicht gerade begeistert von seinem Job schien aber immerhin der Landessprache vollumfänglich "mächtig" war. Dies war später abends als ich ins Hotel kam bei dem Mitarbeiter leider nicht der Fall. Er brauchte drei Anläufe und Hilfe von mir um mir den korrekten Zimmerschlüssel auszuhändigen. Auf dem Zimmer angekommen wollte ich noch ein bisschen Fernsehen schauen. Dies war leider nicht möglich da das TV-Gerät, zu dem zwei Fernbedienungen da lagen, auf keinem einzigen Speicherplatz auch nur einen einzigen Sender ausgestrahlt hat. Den Versuch jetzt nach unten zu gehen und dort um Hilfe zu bitten habe ich mir, nach der Erfahrung mit dem Zimmerschlüssel, dann erspart und bin halt ins Bett gegangen. Außer dieser weniger schönen Erfahrung war es leider auch nicht möglich frische Luft in das Zimmer zu lassen da nach dem öffnen des Fensters die mit sehr starken Essengerüchen versetzte Luft der Küche der "Restaurant" welches direkt um die Ecke des Hotels ist ins Zimmer kommen. Außer der perfekten Lage zur City/Zeil Einkaufsstraße ist das Hotel nicht wirklich empfehlenswert.

The only positive note is the location and the friendliness of the guys at reception. In a room that was supposed to be 3 beds 1 was a sofa (not a sofa bed, but a sofa). Dust everywhere, smelly room, broken toilet seat, 2 out of 4 towels dirty. Rooms not soundproofed at all and room not made up on the second day of stay. Dirty oven and toaster from previous uses.
