Spa Resort Pawlik-Aquaforum

The "WEEKEND STAY" is a complete rip-off, it is a SATURDAY ONLY stay. We had to check out at 10:00 AM, NO EXCEPTIONS possible. Late checkout paid or complimentary is excluded. We had to return the spa/pool chips as well and could not use the spa on Sunday at all (March 10th). We have asked the reception manager about the possibility to vacate the room and to use the spa/pool. He was technically polite, but resolute - no exceptions. His reply: "You could have used the pool since 7 AM till 10 AM!" The mindest and processes are at the "state-operated sanatorium" level, the private weekend guests are a disturbance for these. Otherwise, the room was clean, the meals and the facilities were quite good, although not really value for money. The hotel has some charme and flair of the past times - the potential is for sure there, but you have to change the processes, the mindset and the management first.

But suddenly, I thought that there are times when it is simply necessary to pour out your soul to someone. And it's much easier for a stranger to do this than for a loved one. A stranger who does not care about you at all, and you are independent of him, will look at your situation with totally different eyes, sympathize, support, and give unexpectedly accurate advice or recommendation that will help solve the problem. That's what Marina told me a result of taking one therapeutic drug cost her issues with her joints. In 2020, during her trip to Hungary to the emergency depar**ent, a doctor reported that a hip replacement surgery was required after an ultrasound procedure. That was the reason to come to Karlovy Vary, a famous wellness place in Europe for the trea**ent of joints. In February 2022, she decided to book a place at the Richmond Sanatorium from June 4 to June 26. Marina planned her trip and bought a plane ticket in advance. Unfortunately, Lufthansa has postponed the departure and arrival days from June 4 to June 7. She had to turn to Sanatoriums.com and reschedule her reservation to Richmond four days later, from June 4 to June 8, for the same period to stay there for 21 days. According to her booking, the price for 21 days was 1700 euros. A few days later, the answer came: it was not possible to make corrections for four days of stay, and the patient must cancel the reservation. The lady contacted Richmond, but there were no places in single rooms. She had to go to the Spa Resort PAWLIK-AQUAFORUM in Frantiskovy Lazne, a sanatorium where a new reservation cost about $ 2,400. After a fifteen-hour flight, the tired Marina finally arrived at Pawlik. When Marina entered her room, it was a strange and unpleasant smell. She contacted reception with a request to change this room to a room with a balcony so that she could breathe fresh air. Also, she noticed that there were two narrow beds instead of one. Very terrible experience. Hygienic standard very low and the staff was realy bad. I will never visit this place again. When I complain to the staff about the hygiene they started to be even more ugly and rude.

Small cramped rooms. The price did not match the quality. Strict enforcement of masks even when the employees did not wear masks. Good selection of food, limited selection of drinks. Wi-Fi not reliable (even for a paid voucher). Greedy company, you'll pay for everything small things.
