Absolutely Fabulous 👌... Could not have asked for better! Thank You Brad, Brooke, Tahnee, Georgia and Emily (who prepped our drinks). We've just been over to K'gari for a couple of days to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. Stayed at K'gari Beach Resort and during the course of our dinner just happened to mention what we were there to celebrate. Around this time the kitchen must have gone into full on preparation mode, cos on requesting coffee before our departure were totally surprised with a board with the words ”HAPPY ANNIVERSARY” written on it in chocolate plus a delightful dessert. Coffee was 'on the house' along with a bottle of bubbly. So, Thank you McKenzie's On 75 and especially once again the wonderful staff .... Brad, Brooke, Tahnee, Georgia and Emily. Awesome hotel, beautiful environment, first-class service, family suite cost-effective, especially suitable for children with family travel, beautiful Feisha Island picturesque, not many people, off-road bus is impressive. Parking can stop at the port, pay the management fee, if you drive four-wheel drive, you can roll on the island, self-driving adventure, great! Still want to come again!

This complex is showing its age but it was a comfortable location in Happy Valley. We lucked out with a refurbished bathroom in our 1 bedroom cabin (cabin 5, our friends in cabin 4 had an older bathroom). It contained a full size fridge and kettle and cups in the room with access to a communal camp kitchen with a gas BBQ, microwave, toaster, sink. Plenty of dishwashing liquid, chux, paper towels and alfoil were supplied there. Two hotplates and a dire looking fridge looked old and no idea if they worked; the BBQ was a little slow but worked fine. With your own fridge in your cabin there is no need to use the communal one but remember to bring all your own crockery, cutlery and anything else you need. Our cabin was clean and the camp kitchen reasonably so. We had plenty of hot water in the bathroom with decent pressure in the shower. In relation to a comment below, there was one blanket on our queen bed and a double size one on each of the two single beds (so they could be doubled over for warmth) but there were also extra quilts in the blanket box in the room. The mattresses felt new as did the pillows, but they were quite high and hard and I wished I had brought mine with me. If you have children, like camping, don't forget to bring along things to amuse them as no TV and variable internet depending on your provider. Be prepared to carry your gear up several flights of wooden stairs to reach the higher cabins. There is a pool (too cold so didn't try it) and a cafe/licensed bar/restaurant on site and the dinner we ate there was very good and reasonably priced. Special mention to a decent salad with our various seafood options that contained lots of variety not just limp lettuce as we have been served in much more expensive establishments. Like all settlements on Fraser now, Happy Valley is enclosed within a dingo fence. The shop area stocked a variety of eg tinned and snack items if you forgot something or need to boost your supplies, as well as various toiletries, bait for fishing and souvenir items. The cafe opened for coffee by around 8am. Don't forget of course you need a 4WD to get here.

I booked 2 nights and my request was a spa room . The first night room 157 is very noisy as the main bedroom is next to a walk way so at 6 am in the morning you can hear kids screaming people talking which the sound of there luggage going by . I requested a spa one bedroom . I really wanted a view on the harbour. I had to move after the first night and repack up my luggage before I had to travel to bunderberg that day . Very annoying to have to move in a 2 night stay . The second night they close at 9 pm I starved back from bunderberg and the reception was closed . No one was answering the after hrs phone . Thank good someone did answer the phone and then checked me in and gave me keys or I would of been with out accommodation that night after a 2 hr drive from bunderberg. There really needs to be the front reception open to st least 10 pm in busy periods.

Room was spacious and clean, pool area was nice and bbq facilities were good. Only negative was the wifi didn’t work in our room m.

A particularly good hotel, highly recommended for children. There is a beach swimming pool specially prepared for babies in the hotel, which can be used by both children and kids. The back door is the seaside, and there are supermarkets, restaurants and dessert shops in the surrounding area. I plan to stay here next time I return from the Great Barrier Reef.
