We stayed at this property as part of a "raffle" that won us accommodations to one of three properties on the Grand Bahama island. As it turns out, this is the only one that was an all-inclusive resort, as well as the fact that for the dates we wanted to travel, it was the only one of the three resorts available during those dates. It took about 30 mins from the Port of Grand Bahama to get to the resort. It is interesting to note that the islands of the Bahamas are owned by the Commonwealth, and thus drive on the left side of the road, which takes some getting used to if you are from the US. There aren't too many traffic lights on the roads, and there apparently is no interstate highway system, though at times we got up to speeds of 55-60mph on the way to the resort. The resort looks welcoming upon first arriving, but quite honestly that is about where the welcoming aspect seems to stop. The front desk crew did not seem particularly happy to welcome us or glad to see us, even though we planned to be at the resort a full 4-days. Immediately after checking in, we were quickly greeted by a representative from Viva Wyndham, which is the organization that runs timeshare and memberships at their resorts. They quickly try to get you to attend a 2-hr session in which you will be informed of the benefits of becoming a member, and supposedly be entered into a contest to win an 8-day/7-night stay at one of their exclusive resorts and also throw in some free T-shirts, etc. We quickly responded that we were not interested, though they later hunted us down again later that day, and asked us if we were interested again. The resort sits right on the beach, which is obviously great, and the temperature and climate while we were on the property were actually perfect. The temps each day were in the upper 70s/low 80s, with a few scattered clouds and light breeze, but not humid whatsoever, which made the stay all the more pleasant. We deliberately came in April to avoid hurricane season, which last devastated the Grand Bahama island in 2019, and it shows as the effects on the trees is very obvious. The resort features 4 different restaurants on site, 1 of which is complementary, the others of which are only available in the evening and by appt only. Depending on your package, those 3 restaurants may be extra for your stay, but each of them are a little bit more upscale compared to the free complementary one, which is basically a buffet. Of the three restaurants that are not free, one is Mexican, one is Italian and the other is "International", though we found many of the dishes there to be of an Italian flare. The buffet is available all-day during select times, though it may not be as convenient as you may expect, depending on the times you normally eat. The breakfast is available from 7-11AM daily, the lunch from 1230pm - 330pm, and dinner is from 630pm - 10pm. From a buffet perspective, you can expect a mixture of very tradi
