Clean rooms. Easy check in. Friendly Staff. Overall enjoyed our stay. Wish the pool was heated or had yoga mats in the gym but wouldn’t stop us from returning. I would recommend to families because the rooms have a lot of space and kitchens which make it great to not have to eat out.
Response from Property: Happy New Year! Thank you for your kind comment regarding our clean hotel and friendly stafff! We look forward to your return!

Don’t stay here. It’s old and gross. I was worried coming in because a homeless guy with a baseball bat in his backpack was rifling through the garbage cans at 8:00 at night. The rooms are old and dilapidated. I can’t believe they charged me $350 for one night. I’d drive on to Sacramento or Bakersfield before staying here again.

When I entered the room there was a terrible smell, the tv and the remote didnt work and the phone was having issues. They could not fix the TV, remote and phone. I requested another room and was deigned. I stayed the night but the next morning I had breathing issues and went on a search for the culprit. I found mold under the kitchen. I went to check out early and they said there would be a fee charged despite my complaints. I recommended not checking the room out to anyone else since there was mold in the room. I also requested a call from the manager. When I called back later that day to speak to a manager, I found out they had rented the room despite the mold. I called an additional 5 times over the next several days and was always told there was no manager on sight (I know there is always a MOD). I had to reach out to corporate who submitted a ticket. The did refund the room although I was never called by management. When I called corporate to request the point associated with the stay, they informed me that the manager should have called me as it is policy for her/him to do so. I am still waiting on a call regarding the points (no doubt I will never get one). Please do not stay here they do not care about the risks and health of their customers. Additionally, I do not usually throw out my status, but I am platinum and usually get better services because of my frequent travel. I do feel extremely sorry for folks who do not have status and hope that they are not treated worse than I was. I also found out that you cannot write reviews of the site on the Mariott site unless they send you a satisfaction survey. Surprisingly I did not get one. I would suggest not considering their review on the Marriot site since they probably do not send out surveys to folks who complain.

Having stayed at this hotel every year for many years we are finally done with it. The service has gone way downhill since covid! They won’t service your room every day and they don’t give you enough supplies to cover for lack of service! As a platinum member we are supposed to have priority and asked for an early check in. Made us wait until the full check in time. They have upped the laundry fees to double that of other Marriott hotels and then don’t carry quarters for you to be able to use the machines. Dryer didn’t even dry the clothes. On a service day we were out all day working and the. Come home at 4pm and room hadn’t been serviced then they turn up at 5pm and won’t clean unless we vacate. Don’t know if there was a change in management over the last few years but they have now lost a loyal frequent customer.

Was at this hotel for two nights in early April 2023. Room’s definitely need updating but we’re clean.. or so I thought! I awoke in the morning with itchy red spots on my face, arms and feet! There is no protection on the mattress to help prevent this. I was moved room but the mental damage was done! This is the first time in 3 years of staying in Marriott hotels that this has happened. To make matters worse the hotel offered to give me points but never deposited them into my bonvoy account. I will not stay here again.

This place shared the entrance that I-Hop uses...so turn in at the I-Hop sign. There check-in desk is on the building corner as you enter (note: they have two building). There's plenty of parking but you may have to walk a bit. Stayed here a couple weeks. Check-in was easy and everything seemed in order. My room was on the 3rd floor. The room/halls/buildings were pretty standard but were definitely showing that it was time to renovate. The front lobby is the exception to this as it was nice. The breakfast area is small. Breakfast items tasted horrible. I think their cook was trying to provide a "healthy" meal by preparing things turkey sausage instead of pork sausage...and the turkey sausage was nasty. I have no idea what the juice was...I think they bought some off brand cheap substitute...again, rank tasting. In short, skip the breakfast and eat in your room. Luckily, there are numerous places to eat at all within a couple miles should you choose to go out My room sufficed and included a full size fridge. It stopped cooling at one point but they repaired it within a couple days. My room also had a small 4 burner stove. The one big plus...it also had an oven! There was a pool, but it wasn't open for use yet. There's also a few gas grills for use. I used the exercise room several times. The machines are a little worn, but did the trick. I found it better to ride my road bike up to Woodward Park and beyond for exercise. My biggest complaint was about checking out. On check-in, I'd provided documentation for a tax exemption. I also filled out their paperwork. But the taxes were still on my invoice. I asked to speak to the manager and got some run-around dealt to me. But I held my ground saying I'll wait and wait. Eventually and through much effort, the manager removed the tax charges. My coworkers went through a similar ordeal. I have no major reasons to not stay here again. But I'll definitely try to get into other hotels before I stay here again.

My wife is a Gold member with Marriott for such a long time and always satisfied with the service but this Towne Fresno is a joke! We book and pay for a double queen for 4 members a month in advanced but when we check in the FD said that they have switched my reservation to a King with 1 bed only (???) No prior communication sent and the FD said that they have a big group booking all of the double queen and cannot honor my reservation. What in the world a hotel can do that to their loyalty Marriott member? I ask them how can 4 people fit in a 1 bed the FD said that we can share a sofa bed (???) Worst check in and worst hospitality! No one should ever book this hotel! I should read reviews before booking! Never again!

We love staying here. Ashley is the best! Hotel is clean and we love the gym. Breakfast is okay. Wish they had waffles like the other townplace, but customer service is why I keep coming back. We will be back soon!

First of all, staff was terrific. Very friendly. Everything about the room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms well-supplied. The kitchen is a very nice bonus to the room. Location was quiet enough, though being fairly close to the interstate does add some road noise. The tradeoff is being centrally located to lots of nice shopping and restaurants. Definitely would stay here again.

If the price is really really low this is a three-star experience. This is an old hotel, but not old in the classic sense. It's old in the cheesy construction mid 1980s sense. The room was relatively comfortable. The air conditioning worked well but was very noisy. The bedmet expectations. I liked that they use a moderately thick comforter so that you're not roasting all night. Parking was very convenient to the room. I got a third floor room but no upgrade despite being a titanium elite member. There are small kitchens in the rooms, but that comes at a price, especially for the one-night stay. The hotel is a cacophony of weird smells. At dinner hour you smell everything from fried sardines to tripe. Check-in was swift and pleasant. The neighborhood is definitely questionable when it comes to safety. The last turn before you pull into the parking lot you can't help but miss the memorial for a young woman who was shot to death on the block 2 months ago.
