On the way to visit a friend in Husum, I discovered this truly unique hotel. Beautiful and full of charming character; a house to immerse yourself in and relax in, and a feast for the eyes for the observer. An exemplary example of what can be done with old buildings. A monument to an architect with heart and mind. The receptionist is a little grumpy, but unfortunately she wasn't able to say "Moin", or "Welcome", or "Goodbye and have a good trip", or even the hint of a smile. But maybe her cat had just died, who knows. But I was compensated all the more with the friendliness of another receptionist - an older gentleman - and a very friendly young man from the service (breakfast room). The batteries in the remote control were all gone, the two gentlemen were exemplary in their helpfulness and extremely nice. A smile costs nothing. An extra star for these two gentlemen. I would have happily packed up the swimming pool and taken it home with me; a dream. The breakfast was more of a 3-plus, but everything was good for this less frequented time of year. The E room... really nice. Single rooms are often poorly located, stiff children in hotels, along the lines of: "It's your own fault if you're single." But here there was even a bathroom with a tub and the location was good. We'll see each other again, Hotel "Altes Gymnasium", for sure.
