The good? Suite nice, clean, but be advised that there are no elevators and steep stairs in villas. Pool area clean, well presented, beach nice. The bad? Marginal food on property, 12% auto tip but servers ask for more in front of other customers. No late checkout even for Marriott Premier/owners. Gym is a mix of old and new. No room access prior to 4 PM, and even though they assign the room and take a hefty hold on your cc, you have to pay cash or credit at restaurants until then. If you complain it gets slower. When we complained about this at check in a guy in line actually called my wife a "c" word and the desk representative just smiled.

Amazing stay, I don’t agree with the negative reviews as the staff was amazing to my wife and I. Very clean, great location, and nice pool area. The seaweed at the beach is my only reason for giving it 4 star versus 5. We would definitely come back to the Marriott St Kitts.

OVERPRICED AND OVER-AMERICANISED. This hotel doesn’t live to Marriott standards and is NOT 4 stars in any world. Other than the guys managing the outside and one staff member on reception the rest of the staff had a terrible attitude and were rude and disrespectful at times. Rooms were outdated. One room of ours was ant infested. Bathrooms were old, water constantly cold, can take up to 30 mins to warm up. Wasn’t really suitable for families, no kids club, kids pool or lifeguard or general activity for kids. Beach unsuitable and rough. Pretty boring for teens. No atmosphere during the day. Did come alive at night though but entertainment gets repetitive after a week. If you have to go (pity), don’t bother waste your money and breakfast, just go across the road or down the *****.

Terrible Customer Service At The Pizza Place At The Resort. Employees that are there presently, are very rude & disrespectful. Employers should definitely reconsider their employment, can’t expect to recommended as a 5 Star accommodation when the service is barely make 1 star.

This resort is fine, nothing special. Beach is large, but no shells and not a place to snorkel. We were off season, so not busy, a lot of trash around, and is in need of a refresh. The AC was down for a few days for repair, and they gave everyone fans...not okay. AND the card system was also down, so we needed someone to take us to our room multiple times the first day. They have a very limited HH at the bars and they don't tell you what is included, but we came to understand it was just the local beers. The breakfast was fine, but would recommend all of the local restaurants within walking distance for dinners. The only restaurant on site I would recommend is Fire Steak House

Having spent 3 weeks here to really experience a ‘holiday’ rather than staying at our beautiful family home from home on the island- this review should’ve been better but unfortunately it’s down to individuals who clearly do not understand the importance of hospitality and customer service OR it’s probable that they are selective with which guests they treat appropriately. This hotel really needs to revisit staff training to educate staff etiquette to ALL customers from ALL parts of the globe… Mumbling comments between themselves in native tongue thinking guests do not understand what is being said is PURE ignorance and demonstrates slack attitudes. You would expect staff to remain professional at ALL times and represent the brand you work for in a positive light. Perhaps feeling just a little too comfortable in job security and relaxed here to care that much. Some of the attitudes do not match the beauty of the island. We do recommend you don’t believe the hype and try a different hotel on the island as the praises sung about the Marriott do not in anyway match the service. We were told when asked which hotel is the best on the island that it was this one. However we had family members stay in the other hotel up the road and they were very happy. Clearly St Kitts is proud of this hotel standing out in all its splendour but sadly some staff are letting it down. The hotel itself - PROS are that you have no problem getting Sun loungers by the pool. The hotel room we had was spacious & sufficient. Albeit showing signs of tiredness and in need of much TLC for what you’d expect from the brand. Rooms quite clean. Hareem thank you for being so accommodating and one other male staff member in the snack bar- quite young, dark with a lisp, braided locs- maybe you could teach the others a thing or two about personality. Some of the pool staff were nice and a guy who dealt with the cabana for us. Emerald Spa staff were nice. Sorry didn’t catch names. Gym was decent and it’s Lovely that locals can use the hotel facilities and beach. CONS some staff demonstrate questionable mannerisms as if they aren’t used to hearing different accents. Very inconsistent room service, more often than not you don’t get what you ask for on the menu. Then to rectify it you are charged again the room service charge (I did finally speak to deputy manager about this and was dealt with courteously - thank you). Nothing really here at the hotel to do for children- think you’re missing a trick there. No real greetings during our stay in the lobby, some staff look miserable and unapproachable. Again selective attention only to those I presume they think they’ll get a ‘tip’ from. A few bottles of complimentary waters handed out on check-in…meh. On arrival to the hotel, I left my card on the room for charges and noticed numerous online debits all within the space of 10-15 minutes of each other for numerous amounts ranging from £30 to £400. Luckily they had all declined as I hadn’t

Rooms are nice and spacious. No elevators in the vacation club condos. Nice view on the 2nd floor. They have a good amount of activities and amenities. Heard the spa was nice. The fire pits are nice at night. Pool bar is mediocre and overpriced. They have servers that come around but they are not really hustling hard to get business, if you want something just swim up to the bar. I like that the rooms are close to beach entry. I also like the fact that they shuttle people to other beaches like South friars beach/shipwreck and frigate Bay due to the large quantities of seaweed that are on the beach. A cab ride will run you $7 a person. Ask for Craig for deals and hook ups to spots around the island. They have a market open every day from 11-4 and they have reasonable prices and are willing to deal.

I can only rate the beach and the property. First, we did this as a day pass from a cruise. I wish I had known this was on the Atlantic side. Water is rough and full of seaweed. Pipes of it on the beach. Staff were clearing it from the sand but even by 10am they really didn't make a dent. The beach pavilion things were rusting. I wish we just did cockleshell beach instead. I wouldn't come here or even stay at this hotel ever. The lobby is nice but you get the feeling it's going downhill

After a long day of travel we arrived and made to wait another 20 minutes to check in. More than one person should be working the desk. One just stood there and watched instead of helping another customer. A shuttle should be provided to a couple of places like other resorts have. The entire economy of St. Kitts seems to be taxis. that's all you see, and to get anywhere is minimum $20 even to go one mile to "The *****". $40+ for a 10 minute ride. No air conditioning in common areas including the gym. Sweating all week. I couldn't wait to be in my room with AC. The resort looks like an 80"s time warp and needs to be imploded!! All of the locals use the facilities so the main pool is overrun with loud obnoxious low class people. no one stops them or cares. Riff Raff walking around smoking. Smelly seaweed on the beach and the huts are all rusted. The no cash/credit only is annoying too. I don't want to charge a pack of gum or a soda. I was there 4 years ago and it was pretty nice. Gone way down!! All of the restaurants are horrible and service slow. Arwee in the lobby was the only good one and bartenders were great. Pizza shack was gross. Not even pizza. If I ever did go back to St. Kitts it would be only The Park Hyatt or Four Seasons Nevis for me.
