Hotel Monarque Fuengirola Park Reviews

We have been to Fuengirola Park on at least three occasions and have never felt the need to complain. However on this occasion the hotel fell well below expectations of a 4 star hotel. Whilst the room was basic it was clean and comfortable and the cleaner did a great job. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful however the food was not good with the menu repeating many items day after day. We got so fed up of the food we paid to eat at another hotel we have stopped at on many occasions. Fuengirola Park could learn a thing or two from the 3 star Bali hotel in Benalmadena. Entertainment is poor with the same keyboard player and vocalist 3 times a week playing the same songs each time. The flamenco show was good and the magician was good but all the entertainment is finished by about 10.30pm. Unfortunately this is our last visit to this ideally located hotel.

This will be the very last time we come to Fuengirola Park. Although it is super close to the train station, the food and dining room let it down. Below I have added 2 photos taken on the same day of the quality of the food on offer. The fruit was disgusting, mouldy apples and old bananas. To top it off I saw 2 cockroaches actually on the pastries table. I informed the manager immediately. This hotel claims to be ****, absolutely no way, if you want to see and eat fresh healthy food I suggest you book at the Hotel Bali in Benalmadena, there's just no comparison, shame on you Fuengirola Park.

Couldn't fault the staff, but the rooms are paper thin and there is no consideration for others as people slam door's and move furniture around constantly. you can hear everything, and I mean everything. We booked for 2 weeks and I can't say I had one good night's sleep. The evening entertainment was rubbish! The singers sang the same play list 3 night's a week, the magician was so dated that it was clearly ment for kids even though it was like an old people's home. The people that were staying there were so rude and never smiled even when you smiled at them. I'm so disappointed in spending so much money on this place. I couldn't even swim in the outdoor swimming pool as the water felt like ice! Plus if you wanted a pool towel that was an extra cost of €10 each and an extra €1 every day to get it cleaned, so we had to buy extra towels from the shop as this wouId have cost an extra €40. hated swimming in the indoor pool as you had to wear a swimming hat. You just didn't feel like you were on a relaxed all inclusive holiday. We rented a car for the second week just to get away from it all which was another costly expense. So overall not the best experience and would not stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for the October half term for 5 nights. It's a dated hotel that caters to touring groups for retired persons. Mainly Dutch and German. This wasn't a problem for my daughter and I as we get out and about on our holidays however the food at each meal time was definitely created with their largest client base in mind. Bland, soft (not requiring too much chewing) and repetitive. My daughter and I ate in the restaurant twice and refused to go in there again after seeing cockroaches. The hotel gave the same excuse of having fumigated the gardens the day before we arrived behind the reason they had entered the hotel. But I do not accept that. Both oriental and German blonde cockroaches were seen, video, and taken photos of, on food serving counters, bar in the entertainment area and on the floors in the restaurants. Video footage taken of one staff member grabbing a cockroach as I was filming as though that was a perfectly normal thing to do. My daughter and I have travelled to many, many destinations but NEVER have we witnessed anything as bad as what we saw in this hotel. I have made a complaint and the hotel's response was that nobody else has complained!

Would only recommend this hotel, if your 70+ and Spanish. We was all inclusive and had to eat out. There is plenty of nothing e.g one night, there was cottage pie, but the top was pastry with sugar on ?? Entertainment or lack of finished at 10 pm and was all in Spanish. Room - beds was comfy but our bathroom was full of ants and the laminate flooring was all separated. The walls are paper thin, so you hear all sorts of conversations and breakfast starts at 7am, so you get woke up with doors slamming and people shuffling down the hall. Location - you have to get a bus or taxi as the hotel is far from the centre of fuengirola. The local bars all 2 of them are empty of a night. I would not recommend this hotel if your under 70
