Awaumi Fujikawaguchiko Resort

Would not recommend this place at all. We stayed the cabin for 2 nights The so called onsen was just a bathtub with heater which you needed to do it yourself. The room itself smelt horrible. The bathroom space was small. Towel provided had hairs in it!!!!! Food provided was poor. I bet I could get better food at the supermarket down the road! The worst part was you had to get your own cup from your cabin to get drinks at the lobby. How stupid was that. Front desk service was awful. They were inexperienced and had zero hospitality. I asked for a bottle of water before they start cleaning our room, they said they would need to charge an extra JPY 150 for each bottle. But if we waited till cleaning time, then somehow it would be free for some miraculous reasons! The only thing I would highlight as the positive were the two older staffs who helped us with our bags and carried the food to our cabin each day. I felt sorry for them since they have probably worked harder than the younger front desk staffs who have no freaking clue how to take care of their guests!

Property seems like a heaven. And location was awesome. But just the service was so bad. It have ruined our trip. Staff were not cooperative and they are not foreigners friendly. Rude and arrogant(male person in reception ). We had problem during stay which could be solved if the reception person have given information properly.

Truly an incredible stat! Unlimited access to different wine from arrival. Staff is very helpful, and sweet! The tent rooms are extremely spacious, also the hot spring baths are fascinating, they were automated and required nothing, they stayed hot all night long. The glamping BBQ came with beef, pork steaks and many sides. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee equipment was drip and easy to use. Very impressed. Everything about this stay was perfect. I will definitely be back very soon!
