The room was fantastic, and the environment was beautiful, perfect for taking photos of Mount Fuji. My friend even saw a shooting star in the courtyard at night – super lucky! The hotel service was also excellent; they helped us with our luggage to our room. It's great for a larger group, and you can even have a BBQ. The only downsides are that it's a bit far from the river and there are no supermarkets nearby. But with such a stunning environment, these minor drawbacks are easily overlooked.

Fantastic location with stunning views of Mount Fuji. However, the power outlets are inconveniently placed, the bathroom layout is awkward, and the drinking glasses are tiny.

The standalone villa is spacious and offers a direct view of Mount Fuji. However, the water pressure inside the villa is very low, making showers difficult. Many facilities in the villa come with an extra charge, and the instructions for using them are complicated, which can be a hassle for foreigners. The breakfast was also quite lackluster.

The overall environment is good, and you can get a perfect view of Mount Fuji. The rooms have self-catering facilities, making them suitable for families or larger groups. There's a hot spring bath, but there's an additional charge to use it. The staff speaks English, which is very convenient for foreign tourists.

Beautiful cottage. I forgot to take photos of the interior, but I did get a shot of the amazing view of Mount Fuji from the balcony. The staff were very polite. The onsen was a delightful bonus – we went in the evening and had the whole place to ourselves! All amenities are provided.

As a seasoned traveler who has visited dozens of countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels, this is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On the night of check-in, no one helped us with our luggage to the room (and similarly, no one assisted with luggage when we checked out). Barely five minutes after entering the room, I found a long hair on the pillow (I've attached a photo for reference). This made me seriously doubt if the room had been properly cleaned and prepared for guests. Furthermore, there were no disposable slippers available and no complimentary drinking water. It seemed like this room was completely forgotten. As it was too late, I didn't contact the front desk. I thought I should give their housekeeping staff a chance to rectify the situation instead of complaining immediately. I believed that these issues would be thoroughly resolved after the room was cleaned the next day. However, what happened next was absurd. When we returned to the room on the second evening, we found that the room had not been cleaned at all. The bed was unmade, towels weren't changed, and the trash wasn't emptied. I was furious and speechless. I believe this hotel has serious issues, both in management and execution. I've traveled to many countries and stayed in quite a few hotels, but this is the first time I've encountered such a low level of service and a hotel that so drastically misrepresented itself. I will solemnly inform all my friends and booking platforms to avoid this hotel. It will give you a very bad experience and severely impact your travel mood. This hotel's high pricing is completely disproportionate to the service it provides (both in terms of facilities and soft services). It's no exaggeration to say that, besides providing a room to shelter you from the elements, there's practically no service whatsoever. Follow-up: After communicating with the platform and the hotel, their response was as follows: 1. The hotel has limited staff, and often only one person is on duty at the front desk, so there's no extra staff to help guests with luggage. 2. The hotel encourages guests to drink the groundwater from Mount Fuji directly from the tap, so they don't provide complimentary water. 3. Room cleaning is outsourced to a third party, and they will verify with their outsourced personnel. These are undoubtedly excuses to shirk responsibility, not legitimate reasons. 1. Regarding the lack of staff to help with luggage, I saw two people at the front desk. One person could have easily helped us (the hotel is on a slope, and you have to climb stairs to reach the room). 2. Regarding the drinking water, the front desk staff provided no verbal notification or written instructions. There was no special sign near the sink/tap in the room either. Moreover, there's no way to confirm that the tap water is indeed Mount Fuji groundwater; there are no qualification certificates or inspection reports. 3. The hotel outsourcing its room cleaning service to a third party is completely irrelevant to the guest. By accepting a guest's reservation, the hotel establishes a temporary contractual relationship with legal effect. The uncleaned room is entirely the hotel's dereliction of duty, both at the management and execution level. As for holding the outsourced third party accountable, that's an matter between the hotel and the third party, not the guest. However, I'd like to thank the Trip.com customer service representative (Butler Xiao Yin) for their meticulous and patient service and communication throughout. This demonstrates the responsibility and professionalism of a major international platform. I will continue to book through Trip.com for future reservations, after all, I've been a loyal customer for over twenty years and trust them. When issues arise, they don't avoid or shirk responsibility but quickly intervene and actively resolve them. I definitely commend Trip.com for this!
