Hotel Yukari no Mori Kawaguchiko

The breakfast is okok, maybe slightly below japanese standard. Services are generally low, only 2 staffs met the japanese standard, not sure if this is due to their very limited english vaculburary I notice they don't say "Sorry, no" or "Please xxxx". Seems like they know how to do Keigo in japanese but not english, but even then the tone still sounds abit rude. The only acceptable service quality is from a nice senior male staff. The hotel room is nice in general, just the blanket and some part of the room is quite dusty, and don't expect the cleaner to greet you like the other hotels in Japan. The worst part is the location, not only the nearest bus station is 2km away, which makes just a little different from walking to Kawaguchiko station directly, the buses from the nearest also operates in limited hour only, at late evening after 6pm don't expect any buses at all, do be careful when looking at Google map route time. We took the wrong bus and head towards fuji station, unaware that actually Google map is showing the bus from next day 9am, hence we ended up walking 6km back to Kawaguchiko station. I see most guests here are from tour, so if you are travelling without tour better stay walking distance within the major station like Fuji station and Kawaguchiko station.

It's a clean and quite hotel , we can see Fuji mountain when open the curtain, we live at 4/f just near onsen area, very good experience.

The cleanliness of the room is decent but can be better. Saw some crumbs at the carpet after checking in. Got a room facing mt fuji. The onsen was great (both indoor and outdoor) with a view of Mt Fuji. Free parking at the back of hotel and room was spacious. There was quite a number of tour group who stayed at the hotel. Within walking distance there is a place to shop (Daiso, Aeon and coin laundry)

I think this is Chinese operating hotel. Many China tour bus coming. But overall good experience.

Good location, very near to Family Mart but it’s situated in the main road, causing k loud noises. Insufficient amenities e.g. trash bin, shampoo, shower gel.

A very good experience for the family. Nearby the shops and shopping in general after it get dark. The onsen was fantastic!. Peaceful and picturesque location. The breakfast was adequate. I would stay here again at my next visit.

Location wise is a bit far from kawaguchiko station with not a lot of restaurants around the area, and food was not available when I tried to enter the restaurant without a reservation. Cleanliness was good, and the staff was kind enough to help to book a cab as it was hard for me to get one through ride hailing apps.
