Kyukamura Fuji

It's a shame that the kaiseki course is full of Red Fuji (trout). I was disappointed with my expectations, probably due to the season. The view of Mt. Fuji was outstanding. The hot springs were good. There is also room for improvement in the dessert of the kaiseki course. You don't need 3 types of tea. I wish they could just have dessert buffet style.

It is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, etc., so I brought in fresh vegetables and dairy products purchased at roadside stations and service areas, as well as Shizuoka oden and Fujinomiya yakisoba to cook for myself. Although I had a dog with me that was a bit of a barker, I was able to relax and not worry about my surroundings. I had to walk for about 5 minutes to get to the main building, but I felt happy because I could see Mt. Fuji while taking a bath in the large public bath.

The room itself feels old, but when you open the shoji, you can see Mt. Fuji right in front of you! In the morning, it was cloudy before sunrise, and I watched Mt. Fuji peeking out from the clouds from my bed. You can also view it from the public bath. The meal was a buffet, but there were some unusual menu items, which was quite enjoyable. That's right, when I got my futon laid out, there was a little origami Mt. Fuji on my pillow! It was there. It's a classy performance, isn't it?

There are two types, the main building and the cottage. I have not stayed in the main building, so I will evaluate the cottage. Pets (dogs) are allowed in some of them, and it is difficult to make reservations during the spring and summer holidays unless you call 6 months in advance on the reception start date. (Online reservations are fully booked on the day after the start of telephone reception.) Even the day before a holiday fills up quickly. Meals and the large public bath will be in the main building. (5 minutes on foot) Since it is a cottage, you can bring your own ingredients and cook for yourself. Food can be delivered with advance reservations. Meals are a buffet for both breakfast and dinner. (Maybe you shouldn't expect too much?) If you go out from the second floor of the main building toward Lake Tanuki, there is a bench, and if the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji on the glass behind the bench. In summer, you can expect Diamond Fuji. The main building has WI-FI, but there is no cottage. (I am requesting installation) Please be careful as the reception of radio waves is very bad.

Every window is a beautiful painting. Look at the ever-changing Mount Fuji, from cloud opening to cloud closing, from sunrise to sunset afterglow. Had a great time with my wife. Meet again when you are old!

A room next to the restaurant. It's decided to be noisy. I asked for a room change at check-in, but there was no effort at all. They're an adult couple. No hope for careless assignments. I'm sorry.
