Tokyu Stay Hakata

The hotel is relatively new with a modern and stylish design. The room is a comfortable size and comes with all the necessary amenities. It's about a short walk from Hakata Station, which is very manageable. There's also a Lawson convenience store nearby, making it very convenient. The breakfast is delicious and of excellent quality. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering every question we had with a great attitude. The room was super clean. Even though the space wasn't huge, it had everything we could possibly need—especially the microwave and washing machine, which were total lifesavers. It was so convenient to buy local food back to the room and heat it up. There was also a nice round table in the room that gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meals. Downstairs in the lobby, they offer free welcome drinks and an ice machine. In the scorching summer heat, being able to grab an ice-cold drink whenever we wanted was amazing! Another cool feature was the big LED screen in the lobby—it let us explore local sightseeing spots, and the information was incredibly detailed. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting!

It was well worth the money. The facilities were complete. I have no regrets about staying here.

Toilet was smelly, but great that the room has a washing machine for convenience. Booked comfort double room but was given moderate double room. They did not provide bottled mineral water too unlike other hotels that we stayed at. Other than that, was ok.

It’s already expected that hotel rooms in Japan are on the smaller side, but this hotel was very well designed and comfortable. The in-room washer and dryer being completely free to use was a huge plus, and the dryer actually worked really well! Amenities were also provided, which made the stay even more convenient. Service was average and seemed to depend on which staff attended to you. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while a few appeared a bit unfriendly or less welcoming. The only downside was the in-room fridge. We stayed in two different rooms and both fridges were not cold enough. We stored cream puffs inside and unfortunately they spoiled overnight. The location is about an 8–10 minute walk from Hakata Station depending on your pace, so it was quite accessible. Overall, it’s a good place to stay.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. The breakfast truly won my heart — it’s about quality over quantity. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the availability of a washing machine, which was very convenient. Although the room size is small, everything necessary is thoughtfully arranged within the limited space. The reception staff were also very helpful, especially in assisting me to write a vegetarian note for the breakfast coupon.

It’s less far than expected from Hakata Station. There was a bug on the wall in our initial room. The staff helped us change the room immediately. My friend didn’t feel so well after a long walk during the day. The staff was helpful once again and borrow us the thermometer. The breakfast options are great. The portion is decent. Among the three choices, the Benedict Egg was the best. As for the train noise, it wasn’t that of a big deal. The free ear plugs are appreciated.
