Castanheiro Boutique Hotel

The hotel is in a great location and has its own parking lot. We were greeted very warmly with a welcome drink. The breakfast was also excellent and very plentiful – the fruit selection was particularly fantastic. We were less impressed with our room. We had specifically booked a room with a balcony but were given a room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the passageway, which was very odd – nobody ever sat on that balcony... The shower water changed uncontrollably from cold to extremely hot, so we burned ourselves. On the first day, we were woken up before 9 a.m. because the staff wanted to clean the room, which was annoying. On the second day, however, the room still hadn't been cleaned at 2 p.m., even though we had been out all morning. At breakfast, our ordered eggs got lost in the shuffle – we waited over 20 minutes for two three-minute eggs. When we ordered them again after 20 minutes, thinking our order had been forgotten, they nonchalantly asked us if we really wanted four eggs. After we explained that we had been waiting for ages, there was no apology or anything else, which we found quite inappropriate. All in all, we probably wouldn't book this hotel again, as there were too many negative aspects and experiences for the rather high price.

A great hotel in a convenient location. Beautiful interiors, hearty breakfasts, and friendly staff. Rooftop pool and jacuzzi.

Very nice hotel just outside the center. Renovated with beautiful rooms. Breakfast was great!

Gostei muito, espaço acolhedor, bem cuidado e funcionários muito simpáticos, profissionais, atentos e disponíveis. Gostei muito do quarto, espaçoso (sem carpete) e confortável. O pequeno almoço é organizado, variado, fruta fresca e delicioso. Tive o privilégio de um bolinho de chocolate ao pequeno almoço alusivo ao meu dia de aniversário, gostei muito. Foi um gesto bonito e atencioso. Tive ainda no Spa, uma excelente experiência com a Maria, adorei.
