Although the hotel’s main building is old, the rooms have been recently renovated and are very beautiful and comfortable. I especially recommend booking a room with a balcony overlooking the road and the canal.

This hotel was a stop gap measure as our accommodation fell through and we needed something quickly. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and not cramped. I had an ample twin room and the bathroom was spotless. Overall the hotel was fine just a little faded and in need of a renovation just for aesthetics.

The room was very small, in addition to that, I thought I was getting a double bed and I ended up with two beds pushed together, there was also a lack of outlets to charge our phones... as for the location, it's perfect since we are only 500m from the city centre of Funchal.

We stayed one night before our flight. The hotel was clean and no-frills. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, including the bedding and towels. Air conditioning and TV were included. We packed breakfast because of our early flight. It's located almost in the center of the bustling city. Nearby are cafes, restaurants, a promenade, and a shopping center.
