Perfect location and great accommodations.

I was visiting Maryland on business for a day and stayed at this property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was on the 10th floor , same as concierge level facing the lake. View was very good and pleasant. Lounge was empty even at 6 30pm, and the food was delicious, though. My stay was very relaxed and comfortable, will always come to this place.

Marriotts can be hit or miss of late, but there was something special about this property. First, it's beautifully situated by a lake, which has nice restaurants, promenade, and a shopping mall within walking distance. You don't really need a car. The other thing I will say is the rooms were large, well appointed and the beds and bedding exceptionally comfortable. Windows are sound proof so no noise from outside penetrates. The staff was also incredibly helpful and polite. Would happily stay there again. My only one complaint-- though this pertains to Gaithersburg more generally is that the location is not ideal for train or plane travel. Washington DC, Dulles Airport, and BWI airports are each a good ways away, and taxis aren't cheap.

Overall clean, comfortable, good location, and pretty view..Excellent. Only negative issue was that lobby coffee purported to be Starbucks and tasted bitter…not Starbucks quality.

The conference logistics and evening catering for our social hour of 150 people were expertly handled with friendly and attentive staff. The location is pleasant along the small lake with numerous shops and restaurants in walking distance.

I was happy with the stay but i booked almost a month in advance and also requested early check in@3pm. When we arrived around 5, our room was still not ready. They ended up putting us in another room with a smaller bed. I had reserved a king so that was kind of annoying. didn’t like that the room wasn’t ready even after the regular check in time. I feel like I should get some of my money back because I did not have the stay that I reserved.

We have stayed here more than once when visiting family for Chris**as. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The shower worked so-so. When you pull up the knob to turn on the shower head, a lot of the water still came out of the tub faucet. It was noisy at night at times as cars liked to rev their engines late at night. The location has many restaurants nearby as well as shops and a movie theatre. The only main complaint I have is the obnoxious heavy fragrance that greets you the moment you walk into the hotel lobby. Even if you don't have a fragrance allergy, it smells like you have a car freshener shoved up your nose. I don't have a fragrance allergy, but I'm becoming more sensitive to them as their use is commonplace in some public bathrooms, etc. during and post Covid. I'm guessing they are sanitizers laden with fragrance. Fortunately, the fragrance wasn't in our room until the housekeeping staff vacuumed the hallway on our fourth day here. Within seconds, the noxious fragrance filled our room and I was sitting on the far side of the room by the window. I stuffed a towel under the door but the minute you open the door you hit a wall of heavy fragrance. These synthetic fragrances are proven carcinogens and endocrine disrupters. I can't wait until we check out tomorrow morning. If you are sensitive to fragrances or prefer not to breathe toxins, I don't recommend staying here. I would rate this four stars but because of the unhealthy strong fragrance, I deducted two stars.

JulieAnn in the concierge lounge was fantastic. I always was served with a smile and friendly disposition. She is the perfect person to greet you after a long day. Keep up the great work and friendly personality JulieAnn!
