This hotel has views to die for! The pool area was lovely with panoramic views of the sea. The hotel reception staff would remove towels of people did try to reserve them daily which was good as most hotels do not enforce this. A waiter came round daily and gave out bottles of water complimentary. The room was spacious and clean and sleep quality was good. What let this hotel down was the food and restaurant. There was not much variety of food that we liked here which is unusual as we are not fussy eaters. Unfortunately the weather was not great when we visited and rain meant that the had to set up a make shift restaurant in a function room downstairs for 4/7 days. This was awful. Some evenings you had to wait up to 30 minutes to get a table. The food choice was even more restricted, one evening every choice had something in I could not eat as I was pregnant at the time. When I mentioned this to the waiting staff I was brought a plain bowl of pasta. The area was very quiet and not much to do if you venture out of the hotel. There was daily evening entertainment which always sounded good even when we had gone up to bed. Our room was on the front near the trees and on three days we had to ask to swap our towels due to birds pooing all over the balcony and the towels. The reception team did change them even though they normally only change 3 times.

The hotel was really lovely and the staff were so helpful. We were upgraded to a premium room with a swim up pool which we loved. The lady who worked behind the bar in the premium area was so kind and helpful, offering advice of places to go and things to see. There was entertainment some of the nights which was enjoyable, the food had pretty much something for everyone. The pool bar served gyros which my boyfriend enjoyed. There is a beach across the road, there isn't much there but it is very easy to get the bus and travel into town or a larger beach. The local harbour was gorgeous and we enjoyed eating our evening meal overlooking the views. Would definitely return here.

My wife and I stayed at the Panorama Hotel just outside Chania, during mid-September 2023, and chose the all-inclusive (AI) package with a full sea view. We were pleasantly surprised to find we were also in the smaller Blue Wing which entitled us to use of a small exclusive pool and bar, see below. The hotel is set above the sea and has splendid views from many areas, such as the pool, the restaurant and many of the rooms. The staff are attentive and efficient and maintained a high standard of cleanliness for the rooms and public areas. ****************************************************************************** The food was generally good with plenty of meat choices although the vegetables, salads and accompaniments were often limited in extent. All-inclusive wines which were very palatable and water were served without delay after being seated. Tables were promptly cleared and reset, so even at busy times, at least a table could usually be found quickly. There are splendid views of the sea and surrounding area from the restaurant . As we discovered, staying in the Blue Wing permitted us to take breakfast at the main pool bar which was quite adequate, not busy and friendly, with some extra treats. ********************************************************************************** The food in the main restaurant was not hot at the best of times and the self-service plates were usually stone cold. The self service area was too small and cramped leading to congestion and queues, allowing the food to become even colder by the time diners were able to return to their table. Unfortunately, there were several cats allowed to parade around the main restaurant and it was not pleasant to see cats doing what cats do whilst we were eating. Smoking is still allowed in restaurants here apparently, as several diners took an after-dinner cigarette. I would prefer a smoke free environment whilst enjoying a meal and was surprised that generally accepted international rules regarding smoking are not applied here. The AI package did seem to be somewhat limited regarding choice of drinks, with many only available at extra cost and the available snacks were rather insubstantial; such as cakes or small sandwiches. ********************************************************************************** Lower down there was the small Blue Wing exclusive pool and bar for “Adults Only”, with subdued music and a restful atmosphere (traffic noise permitting). The area was managed by the Admirable Betty, a well-informed local lady, who provided excellent service, kept the area neat and tidy and provided us with cold flannels, etc. The Admirable Betty, it should also be noted, mixed the best Pina Colada tasted in Crete. **********************************************************************************Although the hotel is built on higher ground and offers excellent views, there is a busy main road running along the coast just below the Blue Wing. My wife and I stayed at the Panorama Hotel just outside Chania, during mid-September 2023, and chose the all inclusive package with a full sea view. We were pleasantly surprised to find we were also in the smaller Blue Wing which entitled us to use of a small exclusive pool and bar, see below. The hotel is set above the sea and has splendid views from many areas, such as the pool, the restaurant and many of the rooms. The staff are attentive and efficient. The food was reasonable with plenty of meat choices although the vegetables, salads and accompaniments were often limited. The food was not hot at the best of times and the self-service plates were usually stone cold. The restaurant was too large for the servery and often led to queues and backlogs developing, allowing the food to get even colder by the time diners were able to return to their table. All-inclusive wines and water were served promptly and efficiently. Tables were promptly cleared and reset, so even at busy time at least a table could be found. There were several cats parading around the restaurant and it was not pleasant to watch cats doing what cats do whilst eating. Smoking is still allowed in restaurants here apparently, as several diners took an after-dinner cigarette. This is not, of course, pleasant for those starting a meal and we were surprised that generally accepted international rules regarding smoking are not applied. As we discovered, a room in the Adults Annexe permitted us to take breakfast at the pool bar which was quite adequate, not busy and friendly with some extra treats. The All-Inclusive package did seem to be very limited regarding choice of drinks, with many only available at extra cost and the available snacks were rather insubstantial, such as cakes or small sandwiches. Lower down there was the small exclusive pool and bar, equipped with ancient wooden sun-beds but which did their job adequately. The area was managed by the Admirable Betty, a well-informed local lady, who provided excellent service and kept the area nice and tidy and provided the cold flannels, etc. The Admirable Betty, it should also be noted, mixed the best Pina Colada we tasted in the whole of Crete. Although the hotel is built on higher ground and offers excellent views, there is a busy main road running along the coast and just below the Adults Annex which meant sitting on the balcony to enjoy the sea view, which were charged at a premium, was a very noisy experience. It seemed there were sea view rooms in the main complex, which are higher and further from the road and obviously quieter. TUI do not seem to offer these on their booking details. There was also intrusive traffic noise evident at the exclusive pool and bar which did disrupt the solitude somewhat. Entertainment was limited and the programme of one particular act was heard several times, as the duo were performing at a neighbouring property on various other evenings. Buses ran frequently from the hotel

The bus to Chania was perfect and staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Room was a little out dated in the bathroom but everything else was perfect. Comfortable bed and spacious

This review is a bit late because we went in August 2023. For two weeks.. this is our third stay. In a swim up room adult area . views are breathtaking Still friendly staff on arrival . Maids fantastic and pleasant .clean hotel. Food and drink was varied every day . Pizzas lovely’ so yet again when we got back to England we booked again 6th August 2024 for two weeks . This will be our fourth time we have never gone back to a hotel this many times . And we have been going to Greece for over 20 years . Very highly. Recommend this hotel. Wonderful staff . There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and it will take you to Chania town . There are some restaurants outside the hotel. And some shops not many though. . A Pebble Beach just over the road. But a five minute walk down, the road is a lovely sandy beach. We can’t wait to see you all again 😁😁

The service is outstanding. All the staff amke an effort to ensure your stay is of the higest standard. The food is exceptional - uncredible quality and variety. The hotel is strating to look tired. Panorama Blue rooms bathrooms are not of the standatd you'd epect - old baths with old fixtures. Old sunsbdes with different mattresses is another example of lack of investment.

Good hotel. Simple hotel. Not a 5 star hotel. Staff was good especially Georgia at the reception. Apart from that, nothing reminds you of a 5 star hotel. A 3 star maybe. We had a nice time because we were in that mood, not because of the hotel. Family room was big but very old. Same everywhere else.

Loved our stay! Staff, rooms and food all amazing. We never return to hotels, but this is one we all agreed we would go back to we loved it that much! Our family of 5 (3A, 2C) booked 2 pool rooms. My husband and I were upgraded to the Executive Wing of the hotel upon check in. Lovely and quiet, but we felt we could not make the most of this as we had to go down to our children's room pool or the main pool to spend time with them. If you are a couple or a family with adult children it would definitely be worth paying the extra for the 'Blue rooms' and as a couple would go back. Rooms and common areas absolutely spotless, cleaning staff so lovely and hard working, as were most of the staff that take pride in the hotel. The food quality was fantastic, credit to the kitchen staff; kiddy corner, show cooking, a daily roast, loads of different salads and of course chocolate fountain at dinner. Thankfully the chips 'were amazing' for our fussy 12 year old. Alcohol, soft drinks and cocktails included were great, no complaints. It would great if melon is also put out at breakfast, and dish allergy cards are completed people with food intolerances or allergies could be unwell. Had to ask staff frequently what a dish contained to be safe. We found that the towel rule, although advertised, was not enforced by staff and we found it impossible to find sunbeds at the main pool in the morning, however by afternoon there are plenty. Book it, you will not be disappointed! We will be back :)
