Stayed at this hotel for one night, and it was pretty average in every way. Check-in went smoothly and the room was ok, but the hotel is in need of some upgrades very soon. We traveled with a child who looked forward to the pool, but it was under som kind of maintenance and not heated and thus a bit too cold for us. Breakfast was your typical one, but what amazed me was the insane amount of plastic being used. Utensils, glasses ++. Not very environmental friendly, that's for sure.

Very clean, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. For a few miles off the interstate 77, it is well worth the extra 5 minute drive. Applebees is a minute away with other dining options also available. Normal Hampton breakfast. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent place to stay. Very clean and welcoming. It's a little off the main highway but worth the drive. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was the best we've ever had at a Hampton Inn! The eggs were light and fluffy, the bacon and potatoes done just right. Of course, there was the usual waffles but there were strawberries, fresh fruit, chocolate chips and other yummy things available to make your waffle really tasty!

Wonderful as always. We have been staying at this Hampton Inn several times every year for four years on our way to visit our daughter in college. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We love the breakfast and the hotel always provides fresh fruit and water.

I stayed at this Hampton Inn several years ago. At that time it was just ok. This trip was outstanding I don't know how they changed but it absolutely worked. They room was clean, quiet, and household staff are friendly and professional. I wll definitely stay again when in town

The place is much cleaner than many hotels I have stayed in, staff awesome, beds are a bit too firm for me but other than that I would highly recommend this hotel. Lady who runs the kitchen does a great job and is very helpful and friendly. Coffee nice and fresh.

We had been traveling for about 8 hours or so, looking for a place somewhere near I-81 an I-77, however everything was booked. We found this Hampton Inn in what appears to be a very nice town just a few miles south. Although I am a Hilton Diamond Member, there are still times when you're just "not quite sure," about what kind of place you might be staying... The Hampton Inn Galax was clean. The desk manager that night was very helpful, and pleasant! The free breakfast was also very good. Everyone we talked to was just very friendly and nice! I've done what you're doing right now. Read review after review and tried to figure out if it speaks the truth. I'm not the type of person that does this often, but I really thought that if ever there was a place that deserved a good review and LIVED UP TO THAT REVIEW, it was this place.
