We just had a nice experience at this nice hotel. The room was clean and neat. The location was great--very close to the downtown of Galesburg. . We really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the very friendly and interactive staff. That made the breakfast experience fun and enjoyable. We met the owner and he is doing a great job running the hotel.

We ended up not even staying, we checked in, and then found out the pool was broken, and we were there to have a pool party with our friends and kids. No one even mentioned to us the pool was broken, even when at check in we were talking about me. We had several very upset kids.

Easy to find and check in was a breeze. My room had all new furniture in it. The bed was extremely comfortable. Most importantly the room was very clean. I will stay at this location every year when visiting from now on.

Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Check in was easy. Hotel is very dated. Carpet is probably over 20 years old and have never been cleaned. We spilled some water on the carpet in our room and used a towel to soak it up. It was a dark brown just from pressing it on the carpet. Bar and restaurant are nonexistent. Pool area is an extreme echo chamber.

Online said they had bar and restaurant, they had neither. The hallways had strong smell of ****. Had to use the few towels from the room under door to keep smell out. The pillows were very small and useless and facility had zero extra pillows when asked.

The hotel overall needs some tlc. I will give the rooms themselves are quiet. The beds are acceptable I don't know if sleeping on them for a week would be ideal but for our 3 night stay they were sufficient. The towels they use to much starch or something and they are very scratchy. The tlc part is things like the sliding patio doors for the rooms ours didn't latch and the hook lock they put on was part pulled out of wall and there were no slide locks for the door to provide proper security for guest. Their attention to detail is lacking because the soap dispensers were either empty or broken in the room we stayed. For the level of hotel this seems to be, it was acceptable overall. Again the room was quiet which was a plus given the other issues. The only other thing I would mention is if you are a best western rewards member make sure to point that out to them because they won't acknowledge it and they treat you different until they find out you are rewards. So make sure to mention it for a better experience for you with the staff. The decor while interesting like stained class over lights etc is also very dated.

The hotel wasn't bad but the front desk employee was very hard to understand her English.
Also i want to take a shower in the morning but it was no shampoo no body wash no conditioner all the bottles were empty so i didn't like at all and skipped my shower.
Breakfast was very limited not a lot of choices.
