Great historical hotel. Warm and welcoming. The rooms are nice, the lobby is spectacular and the restaurant/bar was filled with fun people.

This historic hotel has a lot to offer. The staff was exceptional and very responsive. The history was amazing. The only negative in our experience was the size of the bathroom. Being a modernization to the hotel, it was quite small. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend this hotel.

Last minute decision to choose El Rancho as we traveled from Albuquerque to AZ and found it to be charming and a fun way to learn about the movie stars. Great shop and decor! Smallest bathroom ever but we didn’t care - it was clean and good water pressure ! Enjoyed choosing a book and relaxed in the balcony area watching folks come and go. Restaurant on site seemed bustling

Run, don’t walk, to the Historic El Rancho Hotel in Gallup, NM. It was built in the 1940s and was the over the top host to all the fabulous movie stars who were filming westerns at the time. Beautifully restored and multi generational family owned. Excellent service. Great restaurant and bar. Incredible lobby. Cozy, clean rooms.

The rating on ******* was “9.2 Wonderful!”. It was far from it. Hotel El Rancho is almost 100 years old and it shows it age - even with the renovation. The outer door to our room and the main door to our room barely opened. The toilet flush was ear-splittingly loud. The bathroom smelled like a sewer before we used it. The parking lot was in terrible shape – lots of potholes and extremely cramped parking. The front desk person was

This will blow you away. Our room is themed Route 66 in the 50s. Phonogrsph record player frig, payphone that works. Cloxk radio. When was the last time you got an actual key?? BUT tv sharp and latest tech. Fantastic rain Showerhead with lots of pressure. Black and white tile, pipe towel rack and tp holder. Super clean . Vessel sink. Actua route 66l glass coffee mugs rather than cardvoard. Cool. Movies made here in the 40s and moviw stars stayed here.

El Rancho has modernized their rooms and they are super clean, without losing the charm! We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant amd found the staff to be most friendly amd professional. We will be back on our next way through Gallup. PS the room prices are very reasonable for the value received!
