Good opportunity to experience nature in its best. Kind & efficient staff. A serene environment with a beautiful landscaping & naturalistic river to enjoy, the food was tasty but prefer to have more varietys.I loved the stay it was a magnificent experience. The general managers welcoming was very valuable, Thank you to all who helped us to enjoy our stay.

We had a 2 night stay at Amaara hotel and it was honestly a very amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful,food was good, and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive which made our stay more enjoyable. They made sure our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The rooms are also very spacious and well maintained. If you're looking for a quiet retreat in nature at Sigiriya, Amaara hotel is a great choice. Would highly recommend.

First class hotel amenities and service in a forest setting, literally. Elephants living in the forest have been known to visit from time to time. The rooms are huge bathroom well appointed. Nice cold air-conditioning and a great shower. Restaurant and bar offer fine dining. There is a lovely pool area. Central to all the attractions, this was a perfect base for our 3 night stay. It was an amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Property was too good and part of forest. Slightly remote access and no commercial shops / restaurants outside. Rooms were spacious with decent toilet size and amenities. Beautiful dining space and breakfast spread too. Food were slightly towards srilankan cuisine, still we enjoyed though we are from India. Must visit this place during winter / rainy seasons. Sigiriya rock is hardly 20 mts from this resort.

The stay was calming and relaxing at this hotel, the environment was away from the buzzling city hence for a tourist who wishes to escape from the buzzling city this hotel is recommended. We had a family of four stayed at the hotel and throughout the stay staff has treated us nicely and food was good. definitely recommend this place for a holiday.

We recently spent 2 weeks at the Amaara Forest, a beautiful hotel surrounded by trees and plants, where the only sound is that of the birds singing and monkeys leaping from tree to tree. The rooms are huge, fantastic shower, a kettle, and cleaned every day. Breakfasts very nice (try the egg hopper), and quality and quantity of evening meals was fantastic (and not at all expensive). On the last night we had an amazing four course meal under the stars, where Maduranga really looked after us. Good sized pool (the pool area was never crowded). Reception staff and assistant manager arranged tuktuks for nearby (Sigiriya, Dambulla, Habarana all 10-15 minutes away), Safari jeep to Hurulu (Minneriya and Kaudulla both closed at the time) and taxis for further afield (incl. back to airport). Special mention to hotel manager Ravi, restaurant manager and his assistant (look forward to seeing the new menu with no spelling mistakes), Thanyu and the ladies at reception. A great base for exploring Sri Lanka, and a truly fantastic hotel.

The route to reaach the property was too off. Consider last 500 m as driving on rocks. Property should try tp fix it as they will be major beneficiary. Staff tried to help - 1 guy was good at english, others below average - The confusion went to extent that the lady at counter said that pinnavella elephant orphanage is only 4 km away, which is not true. I only contacted this guy at reception for everything post this incident.
Overall , staff did try to help for everything they could do in their limits.
