Clarion Pointe Galveston - Beachfront

The hotel is across the street from the beach, which is a plus. The facilities are a bit run down. The room was so muggy and smell musky. The internet was down, so when we arrived, we could not even watch TV as it was connected to the internet. Also, there was no iron in the room. We went to ask for one and they said it would be brought to our room, but we never received it. The breakfast was okay, no bacon.

Great location! Walking distance to the water.

The person that checked us in was very friendly. Some parts of the facility especially the elevator needs updating. The breakfast was good but due to the storms that were coming we left after one day instead of three. Would stay there again for the location.

Was woke up about 2am to a domestic dispute that lasted until about 7 am with police arriving beating on the door the hotel refused to do anything!!! This place is going downhill between the lady who murdered her child and threw her from the balcony to domestic violence they definitely used to be great

We were a little weary when we read the reviews but overall, everything was great! Didn’t see any bugs in our room, beds were neatly made with fresh linens and plenty of towels for all of us. The breakfast was amazing with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and the waffles made fresh and plenty of coffee and juice! I’m not hard to please when it comes to a place to lay my head but this stay exceeded my expectations.

Location is great. However, no towels at check in and didn’t get any until the following night. No body wash in shower. The elevator is like getting in a sauna. Other than that, it is okay for a weekend trip. Wouldn’t be my first pick next time though.

I checked into a room. On the way there the elevator smells like a wild animal relieved itself in there. When I got to the room I checked it out. It had dark urine on the toilet, the tub had a ring because someone used it. There were someone's clothes in the room. Also had white dried something in top of the desk, cabinet,and microwave. I asked for a refund and the manager is never there. This place is advertising a renovation, but new pictures is hardly that . Someone is eventually going to get sick here. Go anywhere else!!

I am a Permanent and Totally disabled Veteran and wanted to spend the long weekend with my family, at the beach before my cancer surgery next week and ordered 2 rooms. When I found out that Tropical Storm Edouard was active near Galveston and that it would rain almost every day, I called and canceled, letting them know that I am in No shape to risk the drive or to spend the time cooped up in the room. The Manager took my number, after I let her know the predicament, but never called or communicated. My Son hated that they weren't refunding my money and drove through and used one of the rooms, by himself, just to keep them from robbing us completely. Because it was Labor day weekend they stole a LOT from us...
