Motel 6 Galveston, TX - Beach/Seawall

This place should be bulldozed. There was pallets of construction materials blocking my door. There were no lights working outside my door. Thee was no TV service. No pool access. I knew previous reviews were bad but this place was even far worse than those indicated.

This is new at this location and its only half a block from ocean.They bought out the otjer good hotel and are on the middle of rebuilding every room so its in a big mess right now.Hard to get rooms here cause only a few have been rebuilt and when they are open they go fast. I was lucky to get a room but I really enjoyed my stay.Its located near ocean and all kinds of fast food restraunts and shopping areas.

If I could do zero stars, I would. These people flat out lied to my face. When we checked in, the front desk guy wrote the wi-fi password on the key envelope. When we get to the room, we notice there's no remote for the TV, no coffee pot and no microwave or fridge. I try to call the front desk but no answer. I walk back down there and told the guy there was no remote. He said he would have maintenance bring us one. We waited for a while but we had dinner reservations and had to leave. On the way out we stopped by the front desk again and the guy said the maintenance guy had to run to Randall's to get batteries for the remote and that it would be waiting there at the desk when we returned. When we returned there was a woman at the desk now and she laughed so hard when I said I was there to pick up the remote. She told me that the motel was under renovation for the past 2 years and that the place had no TV or internet. Why would the first guy write the wi-fi code and tell me all this bologna about the remote? Did he think I was some stupid American that wouldn't figure it out? I told the night lady that we would not be staying there and I wanted a refund. She said that would be no problem, they have to do it all the time. This all occurred on 9/26/25. As of today, I have yet to have my $120 refunded and my bank is now involved. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Save yourself the aggravation and stay next door at the Super 8.

Motel 6 Galveston TX Beach /Seawall. The stay was unsafe and unclean. None of the phones or TV's working, showers, toilets, and carpets were not cleaned before our stay and management for this site can not be reached to this day.

Dirty and moldy Rooms were dirty, holes in the wall, exposed electrical outlets, mold, every bit of 50-80 flies in the room hair from previous stays all in the corners from not being cleaned this was also their “newly remodeled room”

Overnight stay before cruise. We had room 112 which had the new updated bathrooms and vanity area. Tv worked great and beds were comfortable. Mrs. Curtis was very personable and professional. It is a no frill hotel, but priced very well for what you get, and they offer free cruise parking! I would recommend to cruise passengers.
