So I booked this location due to the history when I searched in Marriott Autograph. It was our 32nd anniversary weekend. I called in before the reservation, noted it in the comments etc- got a reply back on that it was noted. The restaurant even asked when I booked the reservation are you celebrating something I said yes our anniversary. Nothing- we received nothing from any venue. We tried to swim in the pool that is stated on the Marriott app and Tripadvisior it’s heated. It is NOT. When we asked about getting it heated we were told by the worker oh it’s been broken. However the front desk, Jan, said it has not been heated for 12 years! The hot tub had about 12 people in it so we were not about to get in that and the beach was closed due to the hazardous conditions. There was a huge wedding happening so lovely but forget about returning for an anniversary they could care less. When I complained about the no heat and no acknowledgement to my prior planning we finally got a bottle of bubbly delivered sometime but it was so late and not worthy of their “grandness.” The front desk lady, Jan, just complained how she hated Marriott etc, etc all Marriott’s fault etc. The restaurant was bad for dinner. The choices were bismal and the server was putting my dinner entree on top of salad plate? Who serves like that? It was more like fast food also not fine dining because the whole dinner was way under an hour. We couldn’t try the bruncn because we had to take off early so I can’t comment.
