Service from Front desk to Attractions were top notch! Everything was provided or a request away! We will definitely be coming back!

Stayed 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel lobby area was very nice, and we really enjoyed the attractions. However, our room definitely was less than we expected from a pricey 4-star hotel. We had a toilet that wouldn't always flush and a reading lamp next to the bed that wouldn't light. We reported these items to the front desk and were told they would file a maintenance request. Maintenance may have responded when we were out of the room, but problems persisted. Add to that the two closest rooms had 5 young children that used the hallway as their personal playground (parents' fault, not hotel's) until late in the night, made for a less enjoyable stay than we hoped for.

We arrived Wednesday just before noon for a 3 night stay for a dance competition. When we arrived I asked if I could store a box of food until our room was ready. There policy doesn’t allow them to store food but Dana at check in said…give me an hour to see if there is anything she could do. When I checked back she said I got your room ready a bit early to allow you to store your food! Great customer service! We really enjoyed our stay!!

The hotel was great the package deal was better but the service we got from Condra was the icing on the cake!!! She noticed every time we were sitting longer than the expected wait time for our car or for a ride to an attraction. She went above and beyond to make our trip easier traveling with 2 kids a baby and 3 adults. I do not want to imagine what it would have been like if she wasn’t there. Whoever her boss is, she needs a raise.

We stayed at the Moody Gardens Hotel for a 3-night work conference, and I was able to bring my family along, which we appreciated. The property itself was good. The room was clean and comfortable, and my kids enjoyed the pool, arcade, and aquarium. We also used the Good Grades discount for admission, which was a great perk and helped make the experience more affordable for our family. That said, there were several service issues that significantly impacted our stay and are important for other traveling parents - especially nursing mothers - to be aware of. Before arrival, I included in the reservation’s “special requests” section that I would need a crib and freezer storage for frozen breast milk. At check-in, I followed up about the crib and was assured it would be delivered. Despite that assurance, it was not provided until I called later that evening from my room. For a family traveling with an infant, this is a basic request that should have been handled proactively. The larger issue was breast milk storage. As a breastfeeding mother attending all-day conference sessions, I needed a safe place to store labeled frozen milk. This has never been a problem at other hotels where I have stayed. However, Moody Gardens stated they could not store it and did not offer any alternative solution. Even after our conference organizers contacted hotel management and the banquet team on my behalf, no accommodation or workaround was provided. In addition, there were no designated nursing or pumping spaces in the conference areas. As a result, I had to leave conference sessions and return to my room during short breaks throughout the day. Ultimately, a conference organizer stepped in and stored my milk in a freezer in her suite. Without her help, I likely would have had to discard it. While we enjoyed the attractions and amenities, the lack of follow-through on requested accommodations and the absence of support for nursing mothers were disappointing, especially in a "family friendly" property. These were not unexpected or last-minute requests, and the hotel had multiple opportunities to address them but failed to do so. Because of this experience, we would likely choose a different property for future family stays. Moody Gardens has a lot to offer families, but the service we received did not meet expectations when it came to supporting guests with basic infant-care needs. Overall, it is a nice destination with great amenities for children, but there is clear room for improvement in communication, follow-through, and accommodations for nursing mothers and traveling families.

I celebrated my wedding anniversary at Moody Gardens on the weekend of May 02, 2026. My wife and I had the most memorable experiences from attention to detail at check-in, room cleanliness, amazing restaurant service, great attractions, to an incredible check-out experience. Moody Gardens is a true definition of HOSPITALITY.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, outdoor pool was a bit crowded for my personal liking but it was the first true summer weekend. And we did not try the breakfast here.

Pools had so many bugs in it … hot tub water was yellow with soo many bugs in it… property is kinda outdated .. the shower in our rm had rust on it
