We stayed at the Mansion on 17th in the Hitchcock suite for 3 nights. We chose the location due to how it looked and the age. The former home is beautiful and has that Victorian charm we wanted. The Hitchcock suite was very large with a fireplace and window door that opens up onto the private porch. Wifi and Tv functions were great. Customer service was top notch. There were a few issues cosmetically that didn't have anything to do with the age of the house, but the biggest concern was the plumbing in the bathroom. The sink continually stopped up. We didn't say anything at the time since we figured it was due to age or a temp plumbing issue. Other than that, our stay was near perfect and we will always look upon our time there fondly.

The entire staff was amazing. the pictures are very true and it was very quiet at night. Breakfast was fabulous and the happy hour was great.

A magnificent stay that blew us away! Liked · The hotel totally blew us away upon arrival. Steeped in history and a knowledgeable Concierge (Aaron) who can tell you it all. The rooms were magnificent, again steeped in history. Great comfortable bed and very clean room. Breakfast was amazing, cooked fresh when ordered from a menu. Location to the The Strand was within easy walking distance and a short car journey to the Port. Ideal place to stay if travelling around or pre/post Cruise. Staff were all super friendly. Loved the informal get together at 4pm with other guests. We were all from a number of different places. Would stay here again without a shadow of a doubt. Communication before the stay was great too.

I love that the mansion was maintained and true to it's era as well as the entire town of Galveston. Arron & the entire staff were amazing! All were so helpful, polite, and fun to be around. I would give 10 stars if I could. They started our vacation off wonderfully 💃

Aaron is an excellent host with great stories. The mansion on 17th is hands down the best accommodation in the Strand area.

This was a beautiful historic hotel. The breakfast is prepared by a chef. It was amazing. Loved this place. All the staff were very friendly.

Wonderful stay. Friendly staff and owners. Breakfast was amazing and rooms were so quiet and peaceful. Was a wonderful stay we already have made reservations to go back for New Years and this will now be our place to stay when we go to Galveston
