La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston North at I-45

You get what you pay for and this hotel wasn't it. I have stayed at La Quinta on vacation many times. This was my first time staying in Galveston, customer service need work, breakfast was cold, terrible, not a lot of parking. Next time I will stay closer to the beach and at another hotel.

Perfect little solo getaway. Clean, safe, just the right touch and the right spot. Just outside the busy of the island, will definitely come back!

Dirty rooms- broken items, dusty, dirty floors/carpets, stains on bed/walls, crumbs and hair on sheets, broken tv remote. Poor service at breakfast- items running out, dirty/sticky tables, trash overflowing. Employees vaping in the elevators. Do not stay here.

Fairly close to the beach and historic Galveston, about 13 minutes away. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and LARGE. Had a pretty view and was close to several restaurants. Perfect if you are looking to do somethings in Houston, like NASA Space Center, and also Galveston. Pool was clean and well maintained if a little cold because we went in March. The staff were truly amazing and made the whole stay so much better. Close to fresh seafood restaurants and in a quiet area. They had a mobile security unit in the parking lot which reassured me about my car.

The place is run down and needs to be cleaned more. There was an odd smell and could be because it is old and it gets humid there. The staff is excellent and super friendly!

Staff was welcoming and nice. Room was clean, in average condition. We traveled with some family, their room was also clean but the AC unit in their room didn't work. The shower and water were a big issue. We turned the water on for the tub and it came out orange for a good 5 mins. When trying to switch to the shower head you could not, this was broken. Hotel was full so no room changes. The water pressure in the sinks were terrible, barley enough to get a stream to wash your hands. Hotel was very humid, warm and elevators that had an odd smell. Parking is limited, with some covered parking under the hotel. Additional lot is not large - if traveling in a party with several cars be aware that street parking may be needed. Hotel offers cruise parking - it seemed like many cars had been left, decreasing available space for additional guests in town. Included breakfast was typical, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, pastry, waffle maker. I would avoid the eggs, they had an odd taste - assuming tap water was used to make them as they were powdered, hopefully not the same orange water coming from the faucets.

Had to park in street because there is almost no parking spots so that wasn’t great at all. But other than that was good
