I recently stayed at the G Hotel. While there were some wonderful aspects, it didn’t quite live up to the glamorous impression it gives online. The location is a bit away from town and not truly on the lake as described. About half the rooms overlook the parking lot, which is disappointing. The foyer feels more like a three-star hotel — not the luxury welcome I expected. The hallways to the rooms were poorly lit, and the carpet made it difficult to roll luggage, even with a great suitcase.
On the positive side, the staff was absolutely amazing. Every person we encountered went above and beyond, delivering genuine five-star service. The hotel rooms themselves were spacious, stylish, and very comfortable — really lovely once you got past the initial impression.
What stood out to me is that just down the road, the Galmont Hotel lobby was exquisite — exactly the kind of first impression I would have expected from the G Hotel. If the G could match its service and rooms with a lobby and setting to match its image, it would truly be a standout

高威最好的五星級酒店，整體體驗非常好，酒店以spa和桑拿泡湯為特色，入住的客户都可以免費去桑拿浴池，需要帶泳衣，浴池的環境很有特色，和中國的感覺很不一樣，燈光很昏暗，有個小瀑布一樣的，有點像紂王的酒池肉林哈哈哈哈哈哈。。樓dry area也很不錯，有茶水和書籍，剛好趕上了颱風天，泡完在這裏坐一會兒看着外面的花園竹林喝喝茶，還是很愜意的～

My husband brought me here for my birthday as a surprise, I can honestly say a surprise it was, all thanks to Rachel and her crew. From the minute we arrived Joanna (& another girl, didn't get her name) on reception were so helpful,straight forward and so nice, also not forgetting the lads in reception who were so happy to take our bags and when leaving asked if we needed valet. When we got to our room it was absolutely stunning, Rachel went above and beyond to make sure my birthday was one to remember, no detail left untouched, so kind and unexpected. Lovely little treats and the welcome treat bag is a lovely touch. We went for casual dining, a table reserved by the window and the food was absolutely amazing, so I can only imagine what the fine dining would be like. Francesca & Diana (hope i have their names right) we're just a pleasure to have serving us. Everything was perfect. Yet again without mentioning anything to the girls, they came down with desert and a candle. We came back to our room to a lovely turn down service, with some more treats. Not expected at all. Breakfast the next morning, yet again the experience was just fabulous, the food was just amazing, the smoked Trout and Cavair is a must. Every part of our stay was catered to us, which is amazing. The staff and food are the making of the hotel, and really give you the 5 star experience. Highly recommend. Yet again we cannot thank the staff enough for such an amazing experience.

Nice hotel, staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable bed! Cocktails were very good and not premixed which is been served so many places now. Spa was disappointing, very small with very little amenities, broken seats and paint falling of the ceiling onto you in either the steam or sauna, they had forgot to turn on the hot water urn in the relaxation room so when I made a herbal tea it was stone cold. I would stay again but wouldn't bother with the spa.

An unexpected 2 nite stay at the G hotel was probably our best ever experience in our many visits to Galway. A pre booking at another establishment just wasn't for us. However on spec we met with the most helpful receptionist we have encountered over many years of travel both in Ireland and abroad. Lucia gave us a very reasonable rate for a 2 nite stay with a most enjoyable breakfast included. To seal the deal my wife did also request a view of the lake Atilia which was to front of hotel. Our room on the 1st floor had the full view of the said lake & with a sitting area, a super king size bed, bath/walkin shower, 50" TV, it was ideal for our requirements. A visit to the thermal suite in the spa was again excellent. We had dinner on one evening & room service the second & again both proved to be above what we expected. All members of staff were both courteous & helpful, & I do really think other hotels could maybe do a take on what service really is.....the G is the place to feel both welcome & valued. 10 out of 10 is easily achieved by the G. I do again have to complement Lucia as we did meet on a few occasions over our 2 day stay she did enquire as to how we were & what we had planned for our day etc. Lucia is an absolute asset to the G. Our nx trip to Galway is already certain we will stay at the G.
