We did have a very good time, but I worry about the mold or mildew that was prevalent throughout the resort. Our room seemed to get better as the week went on (or maybe we just got used to it or maybe the room had been closed up for a while before we were there), but the first day or two the smell of mildew was overpowering and concerning. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room and the location was perfect for our family. We hiked, swam and did excursions every day. We ate at the "fancy" restaurant one night which was a buffet and not worth it. Our bill came to $180 for 5 people (1 child) and 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks. We did not get to try many dishes because they ran out and didn't replenish while we were there. The more casual Monkee Bar was where we ate most evenings. It is mostly bar food -burgers, wings, nachos, pizza and their ceviche was never available during the 5 nights we ate there. Everyday we had lunch at the restaurant in town (5 min drive) next to the only grocery store. It was more authentic, delicious and inexpensive. I would reccomend Gamboa, but maybe not if you have asthma or allergies.

It was great time in beautiful place. Nice hotel, great pool beautiful plants. Night safari was too short but we saw caymans they was the best. Restaurants with very good food. Nice and helpful personel, especially Klara from reception! Recommend to see.

Fue una excelente estadía, traje a mi familia para q disfrutaran y ha sido una exelente experiencia para todos, desde el hotel y su atención, hasta las exhibiciones, en especial la atención de Klara, Angel, Omar y Victor en la recepción, me encantó su servicio al cliente, su atención y asistencia ofreciendonos comodidad, bienestar y con una sonrisa siempre. This is the place to be if you want to explore the area.
The pool is perfect and the breakfast buffet is very good.
My room was at the 2nd floor and even if there was a smell in the corridor,inside our room there was no problem.
There is some restaurants in the complex but only one was open,the others open on week ends.
The buffet for breakfast,lunch and dinner was affordable if you are hungry.There is few other options.
There is no spa and no others facilities than the pool.
The waiters and waitress were very nice and a warm welcome was appreciate.We have no complain.

Very nice vacation spot with plenty to explore: nature, Panama Canal, and local culture. We just booked a 2nd night because we are really liking it.

This large sprawling hotel dominates the local tourist scene with its accommodation, bar and restaurants, pools and guided tours to everything in the rainforest neighbourhood. While I came here on the way from Panamá City to my cruise ship in Colon there were also plenty of US and Canadian expats here for a bit of variety from Boquete … there’s enough (4 different tours) to keep you busy for a full day but not much longer (I found two full days a bit long). Rooms and balconies large but in need of a bit of care and attention: I had no hammock to link my two hammock hooks, the shower ‘hot’ was much less hot than the sink ‘hot’ (though still fine when the air outside is over 30). Noisy (but effective) airco, great wifi. Buffet breakfast and lunch pretty good plus bar food at the bar ….Friendly staff. I was happy I stayed here and would recommend.

Este hotel es una maravilla. Al llegar encuentras una recepción con una vista a la selva impresionante. Tiene un ventanal de techo a suelo donde se ve todo el lago y los árboles. Una vez que nos dieron la habitación, llegamos a ella y vimos que era muy amplia, tenía una terraza con vistas a la selva y una hamaca donde pasar el tiempo tranquilamente sin más ruido que el de los animales. Llevábamos todo incluido. La comida era buenísima en el restaurante buffet, tanto el desayuno como el almuerzo y la cena. Lo que me pareció más cutre es que no te dejan almorzar el día de la llegada. No es propio de un buen hotel como es este. Tienen también una piscina al aire libre con chiringuito con bebidas y se está muy bien. Ofrecen toallas para la piscina y hay tumbonas para tomar el sol. La zona del hotel es mágica, llena de animales y vegetación y perfecta para dar un paseo al amanecer o al atardecer.

Wonderful hotel. Room was excellent, and the hammock on the balcony a plus. Clean, great bed, cold air conditioning and hot water in the shower. Hotel staff great. Iris at the front desk went beyond her job to please us. And Rosemery at the Monkey Bar was great! All the staff really seems to care, and it shows!
