Gangneung Sorang Horang Hotel by Anook

The room condition was really good. It felt like a twin bed was squeezed into a space meant for a single bed, so there wasn't much extra room, but the bed itself was comfortable. The table and the tea bags provided were a nice touch. However, the odor coming from the bathroom was a bit of a problem. It's quite surprising to have that issue on the top floor, not even a lower one...

The bedding was warm, the room was clean, and the location close to Gangneung Station was excellent. The breakfast was also substantial and I enjoyed it!

I took the airport bus to the bus station and then a taxi. It's very close to KTX station, and there are many motels nearby. Hotel check-in is self-service, and there are disposable travel kits available downstairs, which is very convenient. The room exceeded my expectations; it had Japanese-style tatami mats, was very clean, and the TV was huge. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Gangneung!

Overall, it was clean. There was a little dust, but I checked the smell before putting on my pajamas just in case. The laundry hadn't been done, and there was still tea in the teapot. The bathroom door smelled musty when I opened it, so I had to leave it open. Please pay more attention to cleaning.

The hotel's location was ideal, close to the station. It was newly built, clean, and comfortable. However, I booked late on Trip.com, and the reservation information wasn't relayed to the hotel, so it took some time to confirm the room upon check-in.

Pros: Very close to Gangneung KTX station, easy to find using Baidu Maps. The new hotel is very clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the water pressure is great, making for a pleasant shower. Cons: Semi-self-service? However, you need to swipe a card to enter, which can be frustrating for newly arrived guests. Front desk staff aren't always available, and there's no way to get help with luggage storage; we ended up having to call Ctrip. The twin room's bathroom has no window, so the new renovation smell was quite strong. There's a window above the bed; guests who are sensitive to light should bring eye masks. Two 1.5-meter beds are fine for sleeping, but my friend and I had two 28-inch suitcases that were already a bit cramped.

신상숙소여서 깔끔해서 너무 좋았어요! 강릉역이랑 가까워 뚜벅이들에겐 최고구요 또 편의점이랑 주변으로 나가는 버스정류장이 근처여서 좋네요

일본 느낌의 호텔이었어요. 아침 일찍 회의 때문에 혼자 가서 잔건데 너무 아늑하고 포근하고 깨끗해서 좋더라구요. 다만 배수구물이 잘 안빠졌어요. (304호) 샤워하면 욕실에 물이 첨벙첨벙, 변기도 물도 두세번은 내려야 깨끗해지는 점 빼고는 좋았어요. 이방만 그런거라면 다음에는 다른 방에서 자고 싶네요. 침구랑 구석구석 정말 정말 깨끗했어요.
