The hotel Golden Crest deceives people saying it is newly renovated. The ceiling is damp and broken (photo attached). Moreover they have not provided even basic amenities like towel, toiletries etc.
The customer service is also not helpful.
Overall an experience nobody would like to have.

Well connected to main road. Lovely building and clean rooms with valley view. Decent vegetarian restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms were big with window not balcony. Staff was good and helpful. Hotel restaurant is good with breakfast included in our stay. They cook delicious food with reasonable prices you don't need to go out for the food. Laundry service isn't there. They provide bathroom chappal. They do have lift. You can find shared cab to mg marg from the hotel, that cost 30 rupees per person. I feel the room is little overpriced otherwise it was good stay. There wifi wasn't able to connect. I don't know what was the issue.

The location is 2. 5kms away from mg road. We had booked 2 executive rooms with mountain views which cost extra but we were given city view rooms. Our luggage was forgotten at the reception and we had to remind them. The rooms were not maintained properly at all. Room service is really bad. Carpets were dirty. In one of the rooms, bathroom slipper wasn't placed, lights weren't working and day 2 of our stay, no water for 2 hours. Dinner is okaish. Don't order fried rice and noodles. I think they forgot to cook properly. Our rooms were in 2nd floor next to the restaurant. You can hear the people working all the time, sound of cutlery, smell of cigarettes. It was annoying experience. We spent 11k for 2 nights here. Not worth it.
