ShriGo Hotel Gangtok

Very poor unmaintained hotel. Bedcover torn , room lock not proper, bathroom doors didn’t close , wadrobe handles broken, water logging in basin. The behaviour of staff was good but lack of proper management so they seemed lost at times.Security gaurd does most of the stuff plumbing, carpentry etc. House keeping staff seems to minimum.The security gaurd told he will also leave soon. Due to lack of staff , the hotel is un maintained. We had 3 rooms, the once with the higher price facing mountain. Looks like there is some construction blocking the view. We changed room once but there were some issues with the new room as well. We spoke to the senior manager probably General Manager ad asked him to focus on maintenance and quality. He seemed listening. Also the break fast buffer starts at 7:30 and we had to leave at 7. So we informed in advance and we were told by manager and chef they will be able to give sandwiches or bread toast only to which we agreed. When we were leaving they only haves gave bananas and boiled eggs which was of no use to us. The front office manager knew it was wrong but he didn’t have any answers. There are many other better options at this price , better to avoid so that you don’t face disappointment. Was a bit surprised with the high rating in Trip advisor due which booked this hotel. The only explanation could be it was better before and had become poor with time due to lack of staff.

Overall awesome experience, staff was extremely kind and helpful. Food was also great. Breathtaking view from balcony and reception area. Extremely cozy and comfortable bed with hot water availability 24/7. Situated in Tathangchen which is nearby MG Marg

Hotel shrigo is improperly located as per google map. Services is okk. Food is also okk. Overall is okk and good.

We booked an executive room (which as per the description is 340 sq ft) however the room really disappointed us with no view and opening at the backyard of an alley. Food was also not at par with too much of oil and less in variety.

Satisfied with the services, the staff was cooperative and helpful.

Location is very convenient from mg marg and staff is really awesome, highly recommended.

This was my 3rd trip to gangtok and this time we chose to stay at shrigo gangtok, the service, staff & location everything was amazing. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel for family stay, newly designed rooms with morden amenities. View from suite rooms looks over himalayas and best place to see sunrise every morning from your room itself. In house restaurant with veg options. Open terrace with sitting and hangout make this one best place. Hotel server snacks and drinks whole day around. Sit relax and view majestic himalaya. Very near to mg marg & other local sightseeing places. This hotel is after mg marg and hence make it easier to avoid city traffic during weekdays. Also going to natula pass, baba mandir and changi lake make it easy as you avoid hustle of city traffic. Taxi stand in walking distance (100 meters from hotel. In house parking available. Great and nice surroundings. Peaceful atmosphere with zero noise from traffic. What makes the stay excellent is because of humble, nice, professional & welcoming staff. Entire team at shirgo hotel were helpful and supportive. After 7 hours of journey from jaldapara, if you rooms are ready for your arrival make it more convenient and comfortable. Room rates make it more attractive to people, 3 star hotel with 5 star services.
