I checked this town. Except for another one with the highest praise, this one is the second best. The overall experience is amazing. The small garden is unique and the scenery is beautiful. I like the wooden furniture in the room very much. The price is not expensive, the price/performance ratio is very high, and the boss is also very enthusiastic.

Our rooms were quite small but the use of space was perfect, with beautiful woodwork custom-made for each room. The staff was the warmest and most helpful of any place of the 5 hotels (including much more expensive hotels) that we stayed on the trip. The common areas are delightful as well. Good internet service.

We stayed for only one night and were very sad to leave. From the moment we arrived we received great kindness and helpfulness, with a personal touch. Our room was small but delightful and the breakfast room was beautifully furnished and authentic, The breakfast was excellent and the service very attentive. The location was perfect for us, as we needed to be near the railway station, but wanted peace and quiet. It is away from main roads and the Partnach flows at the bottom of the garden! Would definitely stay here again.

We were a group of 9. We paid extra to have one room with a living room and one “comfort” room. When I looked at the various rooms, I’m not sure how our room was more expensive. Oh well. Won’t make that mistake again without seeing the various rooms first. The rooms are average for the area and the beds are rock hard. Room 9 had mold in the bathroom. Room 61 had something that caused one of our group to have an allergic reaction. Room 52 floors may have been vacuumed but certainly not cleaned. Perhaps Bio hotel in this case means they don’t clean things! I know that room 52 floors were filthy because I spilled some wine and had to clean it up - the grit and dirt that came up was disgusting. We asked for maid service that day, and when we got back we were told that the maid was unable to clean it so we would have to pay for damages. I then cleaned it using a hot washcloth to soak out the wine - the maid did not even try. I then got some vinegar and cleaned nearly all of it. They still charged me 250€ to “sand out the stain” and re-apply a finish. I can assure you, as a wife of a wood worker, the wood was completely raw and soft - no finish to protect it from any kind of honest accident. While I am fine covering realistic damages if I’m negligent, I am not accustomed to being over charged for a minor accident. If they had given me the tools, I could have done this in 20 minutes, certainly not 250€ of labor, although that would be a good gig! Picture posted. I don’t even think they will fix it since it isn’t visible unless you get down on the floor. I think this is part of their money making scheme because when trying to convince me I had to pay, the Hotel Clerk told me of other incidents that resulted in paid by guest damages. Hmmmm. In addition, the coffee was “green” meaning it sat out for so long that it was mud. Instead of a buffet you have to order off a card. The options were very basic, nothing special. When it was busy, the two people working the dining room could not keep up. I’m also used to fresh squeezed juice in a Bio hotel, but the OJ was not fresh. The yogurt was fine but no quark available. While the location was good, this was a poor value! If you stay here make sure you don’t inadvertently cause any damage - not even an accident- because they will be right on you to pay more than it should cost.
