It was under construction and dusty. Lots of broken things. We were there 8 hours. Thats all i can say.

Unable to get into our room at 2am after 2 trips to the front desk because the door lock was malfunctioning. Also no mirror anywhere in the room. How are you supposed to get ready doing hair and makeup?? A little warning ahead of time instead of an apology later would have been preferred.

Totally messed up the reservation I made. When it was time to check in, had our reservation for another day. When making my reservation, they repeated it back to me correctly but charged me for a date that I did not make. Rooms were very unclean. Cracks in window, door did not shut properly. Continental breakfast was awful. Desk clerk was not friendly. Manager did not want to credit me for the wrong day/their mistake. I do not recommend staying here until they "clean up their act".

The motel was quite nice, but there’s nothing to do in ***lord. This is just a stop to get to the UP, Petoskey, Boyne, or Traverse City for day trips.

Not a bad hotel at all. For the money you can’t beat it. It’s a great deal. Not a four-star, but not paying for a four-star. Play some clean. Nice pool. Nice staff.

I stayed at this location for two nights so my son and I could snowboard nearby. The first night was uneventful though I joked to my wife that it was a LOW quality inn, due to the general state of disrepair and dirtiness. Unfortunately the second night the heater went out and the room became dangerously cold. My son was freezing and we had to open the door to the hallway for 2 hours to steal heat because maintenance was busy fixing a flood. After all that I was not only NOT offered a discount, I had to track the general manager down to the nearby Baymont who told me she would make it right. I received an email this morning letting me know I was already given a good rate on my room and they wouldn’t be compensating me for the broken heater.
