We have stayed here twice before following a safari, this time we had an 8 day safari followed by 5 nights here. We came with 4 friends and they too were blown away. As before we stayed in beach cottages, we had 28,29 and 30 and all had fabulous views and it was great to lie on sun loungers on your own terrace and enjoy the scenery. Things have again got even better since last year. All of the cottages have been refurbished. The sunset bar is still gorgeous but now serves complimentary canapés with drinks. The food at the main restaurant is even more varied with ever changing specials and its of a really good quality. They now have an evening BBQ by one of the pools and we found the food brilliant. We also enjoyed the sushi at lunch time at the sushi place and ice creams at Tamu Tamu. As ever, Andreas remains the most hands on manager I have ever met and it shows, the staff cannot be faulted, but are so friendly and the banter about football and our friends attempt to learn Swahili kept everyone entertained. Dave the food and beverage manager has got a really good team with him, the food could not be faulted. We also really enjoyed our guided kayak with Tom, the Marine Biologist and also attended his Turtle talk, another great addition. Finally, all of us had 2 trea**ents at the spa, this cannot be missed! I would not come here to stay just here as its too far from the UK and we are not really into beach only holidays, however 5 nights after a safari is brilliant and I would love to come back. Finally, I booked everything direct with the Hotel and Mike, who was my contact was fantastic and responded to everything so quickly.
