We had one double and one single room. Both had balconies - the single room had access to the balcony through the bathroom. The hotel was very comfortable and clean, although parts were showing their age a bit, mainly the balcony. The double room was comfortably large, the bed was new and firm, the pillows were downy. The large windows looked onto the deserted railway line and lots of trees. It was very pleasant. The bathroom was huge, with twin basins, and an effective shower. The hotel is quiet, except for road noise. The road isn't hugely busy, but cars do pass regularly and the road surface makes them noisy. We had the windows open so I'm guessing it would have been a lot quieter with them closed. The hotel staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was good: mostly cereal, bread, fruit, and croissants, with a choice of scrambled or boiled eggs, and very good coffee. Tea was available but the coffee was better. It takes just over five minutes to walk to the main shopping area with a large supermarket and many cafés as well as other shops. We felt very comfortable and at home and next time we need a hotel in this area, we will be staying here.

Mir wurde Schweinegulasch als Wildgulasch serviert, erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen wurde wurde eingestanden: Wild war leider aus. Preis aber nicht reduziert. Bei einem weiteren Besuch wurde schlechter, riechender Fisch serviert. Ich habe ihn nicht gegessen: Reaktion : "Wurde erst heute morgen aufgetaut, habe gerade probiert, alles gut und wenn uns beide schlecht wird wissen wir warum" (SPRACH DER CHEF) Danke ich nicht mehr

Haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht und haben dann nur noch ein Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk bekommen. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und sehr sauber, das Bett bequem wie zu Hause 🤗. Das includierte Frühstück war sehr gut, genauso, wie die beiden Abendessen als Carte. Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ok. Werden nächstes Jahr unsere Radtour wieder dort unternehmen.

This time we were in the basement, with a view out onto a grassy bank. It was a beautifully quiet room and modern and well-decorated with a seaside theme. We had everything we needed. It was room 23 and I would stay in it again. The staff are exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and obliging. Breakfast was good. The coffee is only OK, but there is lots of choice for the buffet.

FAZIT: Schöne Unterkunft für ein paar Nächte, z.B. um Hamburg zu erkunden Lage/Ambiente: Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Museumsbahnhof der Geesthachter Eisenbahn. Die Bahn trennt an dieser Stelle die Geesthachter Wohngebiete vom Gewerbegebiet ab. Innerhalb von rund 500 Metern Fußweg erreicht man bequem das Zentrum und noch 400 Meter weiter ist der Busbahnhof mit Verbindungen Richtung Hamburg, Schwarzenbek, Lauenburg etc. Über einen Schlüsselcode kommt man auch noch spät abends in sein Zimmer, das ist prima organisiert und funktioniert perfekt. Der Restaurant-Bereich ist rustikal gehalten - man sieht das Haus gibt es schon ein wenig länger... Über eine relativ steile Treppe kommt man ins Untergeschoss (Souterrain) mit seinen renovierten Zimmern Zimmer im UG: Die Zimmer sind sehr nett eingerichtet - vor allem im Sommer angenehem kühl. Der Blick aus dem Fenster geht zur Seite raus, aber von dort kann niemand ins Zimmer sehen. Eingerichtet mit einem kleinen Schreibtisch, Ablageflächen, hier hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Dusche/WC: Das Bad ist innenliegend, geräumig, schöne Dusche, alles sauber, Föhn funktioniert, Deckenabzug aber ein wenig schwach auf der Brust. Frühstück: Zu Zeiten der PAndemie loggt man sich per LucaApp ein, das FRühstück wird serviert, Wünsche sind willkommen - so kann man den Tag prima beginnen. Die Tische sind sogar ordnungsgemäß auseinander gestellt, um die Abstände zu wahren. Preis-Leistung: Nun ja, man merkt die Nähe zu Hamburg, die Einzelübernachtung im Doppelzimmer mit Frühstück liegt bei rund 100 Euro, ABER das Verhältnis in Anbetracht von Zimmer, Freundlichkeit des Service und Frühstück passt
