The rooms are small, the hygiene needs to be improved, and the kettle was not cleaned. The furniture is a bit dated. The hotel facilities are as comprehensive as described, and the breakfast is very good and rich.

Nice property -- great views, comfortable rooms, pleasant common areas, and mostly responsive service. The spa and pool area is great. The only real negative in our stay was the restaurant; we went to the a la carte restaurant (Restaurant Julie) and had a pretty terrible meal that took 2.5 hours to arrive (2 courses). If you avoid the restaurant or stick with the buffet where you can get what you need quickly and see what you're getting, it's a good choice.

Hotel muito bem localizado, saguão lindo…restaurante lindo, quarto básico para os padrões do hotel, embora a cama seja extremamente confortável. Café da manhã muito gostoso com bastante variedade. Área externa com piscina aquecida e jardim externo no terceiro andar que pareciam muito agradáveis embora eu nao tenha usado pois estava muito cheio de hóspedes.

This is a special place to stay in the most famous Norwegian fjord. The hotel overlooks the fjord and so it has a prime view of the surrounding beauty. The staff is professional and efficient. My room was small but equipped with the necessities. Adequate bathroom with tub. Beds are very comfortable with some feather pillows. The included amenities are excellent. The breakfast and dinner buffets are varied and delicious. Dining room is traditional and elegant.

Wonderful experience especially if you get a fjord view room. The SPA and swimming pool are also excellent with an external hot tub with breathtaking views. The restaurant and breakfast were also very good. There is a small classic automobile collection onsite which is worth a look with some impeccably restored cars that were used at the hotel in the past. A games room in the basement is a nice bonus to keep kids occupied.
