We stayed at the hotel for a week over New Year's Eve - two families with children aged 6 and 8 and 3 and 5. First of all: Overall a nice hotel, the children had a lot of fun. Positive: Very nice and spacious room (we had a Junior Suite Superior), the Lisiworld for the children was great, the ice rink was also great, the staff were all friendly and accommodating. Not so positive: 1. Childcare is advertised for children aged 3 and over. In fact, there were a few activities a day (1 to 1.5 hours each) where the children were actively involved. Otherwise, the children are in the Lisiworld and left to their own devices. The two or three "carers" are at best a supervisor (who mostly watch their smartphones), but not childcare. Exception: The two young men on New Year's Eve - they were great! Our friends' plan to put the child (3 years old) in childcare and go skiing together for two or three hours was illusory. They then booked (and paid for!) childcare at the ski school. No longer a problem for children aged 6 and over, but childcare is different in family hotels and children's hotels!!! 2. We had already booked in May - with 5-course pampering board. About 3 weeks before arrival we received an email with the "happy" news that dinner would now be served as a buffet and that drinks (beer, wine) were free. Very annoying for us, as we had been looking forward to sitting together in the evening with a nice meal and a good bottle of wine. Instead we got a hectic buffet and cheap wines "made for Hanisch hotels". What a pity. The icing on the cake was that there were two dinner sessions (5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.). I have never experienced that in a hotel in 25 years of skiing. The food itself was OK - the separate children's buffet was a disaster. Pasta, rice and everything that can be fried (chicken nuggets, fish fingers, potato dumplings, turkey schnitzel, cauliflower...). Yes, you could have gotten it from the normal buffet, but children want to go to the children's buffet, where everyone goes... We've had much better experiences - you can cook healthy and lovingly for children too! We would have liked a shuttle to the lift - it was quite a hassle with children and driving a car. But that's a minor thing. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential and many good ideas and the Lisiworld is also a real highlight, some issues are resolved as the children get older (like our childcare issue).
