A fantastic location and an even more fantastic was the crazy interior design. The food was very good. But the best was the staff, Very attentive and adding that luxury feeling to our stay, such as a bubble when we arrived and a nice present when we went to bed. And dogs are allowed everywhere. What else can you wish for?

We had huge expectations based on previous experience with Titti Qvarnstrom’s food. The food was great but unfortunately the service did not match the food experience. We had to ask for the food and wine to be presented at each serving. The description promised a “food journey” through the castle. This included pre-dinner drinks and snacks in the lounge and then the rest of the meal in the dining room. Quite disappointing! The promised boards games in the bar were non-existing and the wine selection in the bar area was poor. Hopefully this has improved with time. This is a great location and the castle is very quaint, decorated in a great way and has a fantastic ambiance.

Pros: really friendly staff, really beautiful place. Creative and different decor, doesn’t look like anywhere else. We loved it. Beautiful setting by lake, good for nature walks. Cons: We had a five course menu with wine pairing. The food was ok, but really nothing special and some of it too strange (sweet macarons with savoury filling!). The wine pairing not to our liking. First two (champagne and white) were both very oaky Chardonnays - too similar, then a port wine (!), then an ok red wine but it was warm… The rating is for the place, the setting and the service/ staff. Not food or wine.
