Arrive through the gates of this paradise and you are greeted by the most beautiful gardens. Walk into reception to such a warm welcoming, shown to our beautiful room with complimentary tea, coffee, rusks and a welcoming drink. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, your every need is catered for! The deck overlooking the forest, farms and distant sea view became our hangout for the next two days, our breakfast, delivered to our unit was delicious. 10/10 for the setting, the staff, the beds, the rooms, the bathrooms, the view, the gardens, everything was just perfect. Leaving was really hard, we could have stayed much longer.

Peaceful place. Clean and comfortable. We booked on Afristay and paid on Afristay for bed and breakfast. Upon arrival we were informed that breakfast will be additional to the booking (despite the registration form that say: Will you make use of the free breakfast?) Unfortunately, no management available to discuss, but we were informed by the staff that Afristay publishes outdated information on their webpage. In summary: Nice place to stay; prepare to fork out extra if you book via Afristay.

Nicely appointed, comfortable chalet in a beautiful setting, but the overall experience left a bad taste. We booked 5 months in advance. When we arrived, all the staff were engaged in arrangements for a wedding that was taking place on the premises. The manager gave me the impression he was almost disappointed that we had arrived at all, then told us that, because of the wedding,we could not eat in the hotel restaurant, and would have to eat in our room. When we protested, he reluctantly agreed to allow us to eat in the restaurant but from a very limited choice of dishes. We had hake, for which we were charged far in excess of what is usual for a meal of average quality. Breakfast lacked touches that are generally standard; no milk at the cereal buffet and being told after our breakfast had been served that the seed bread we had ordered was not available.

This was our second visit to ArendsRus Country Lodge. We come from Gordons bay and like driving to George area. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Food is very good and facilities are awesome. Love your braai package and swim in the heated pool

All I can say is it was awesome staying at ArendsRus Country Lodge. From the friendliest service making you feel welcome with inception to departure. The cabins are need clean and have everything a person need for a stay away from home. The decor is a perfect fit. I will definitely stay at ArendsRus Country Lodge again

Arendsrus exceeded all my expectations as regards accommodation, atmosphere, food and service. Lovely setting in the mountains. Safe and peaceful. Reinhard and Charné deserve special mention for their professionalism and warm hospitality. I will be back. Soon.

Overnighted here and loved it. My balcony had a beautiful view over trees and the surrounding farmlands. Room was very pretty, and super clean. Staff very kind and friendly. My little doggie was welcome. Extremely reasonable price included a huge breakfast, and I could choose to have it delivered to my room. Just booked my overnight for my return journey. Thanks all at Arendsrus.

From making the booking, I was in contact with the management of Arendsrus. I just had a feeling that this establishment was different as they have and give you the personal touch of holidaying. The quietness and beautiful surroundings are next level with stunning views of George below. This establishment has all the necessary spoils for city seekers who need a break from the rat race. The peace and quiet is amazing as you hear the birds chirping, the cows mooing in the distant and the odd little monkey 🐒 popping in to say hi... Definitely worthy of a return visit/stay😏👍😍
