St. Giles Wembley Penang

First off, the hotel lobby was incredibly clean and bright, and getting a taxi was super convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the room itself was clean and bright with an absolutely stunning view from the window – it truly exceeded our expectations! This is definitely a hotel we'd come back to. The bedding was also very comfortable, offering great value for money. Plus, the room even had a coffee machine and complimentary fruit, making it a fantastic hotel overall! With 6 elevators, you barely have to wait to go up or down, which is very fast! There are also plenty of great food options within walking distance of the hotel, and it's easy to go shopping nearby!

The room was clean and came with two bottles of water. It's not far from the attractions, and there's a big mall and the Shangri-La hotel right across the street, plus plenty of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff can speak Chinese.

The hotel is quite old, with outdated facilities. The room was small and cramped, similar to a hotel in China that's 1-2 tiers below a [local Chinese hotel chain like] Hanting or all seasons. They only cleaned the room once during my three-night stay, which was very disappointing. Breakfast and the gym were okay, though.

Penang has many great hotels, but I chose this one specifically for the bathtub. Both the service and facilities exceeded my expectations. My 19th-floor room was clean, luxurious, and the bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak. There's a shopping center right in front of the hotel. I also walked around George Town multiple times, avoiding the hottest parts of the day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Penang, savoring local food and indulging in massages from the many parlors nearby. This is a hotel I'd definitely want to visit again.

I was very satisfied with this booking. The front desk staff, both the young man and the young lady, were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had later on. There's even a Chinese-speaking front desk staff member. The room was excellent value for money; this executive room offered great space, amenities, and service. The breakfast and afternoon tea were also good. Our trip went smoothly; the hotel's location is very convenient for Mural Street, with many food options nearby and even a shopping mall.
