The Locale Hotel is a reasonably priced mid-level hotel in a convenient location along several public bus lines. The hotel is clean with wonderful service. Although Locale is not on the beach, it has a small swimming pool and a short walk to Seven Mile Beach. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

Went for the first time to the Caymans beginning of May 2024 for their Batano Carnival. And stayed in this 3-star hotel for only 4 nights, has actually good service with kind staff, great and clean room, good breakfast and is comparable with a 4-star hotel in Europe. Only the price per night is ridiculous, the most expensive I paid per night and this hotel was even the cheapest in this 7-Miles area. Last year staying 5 nights in Las Vegas in a 3-star hotel was a fourth of this total amount. On top of that when checking in, a hidden fee, called resort fee of USD 120 was charged and as long as you don't pay it, even though I already prepaid the whole stay, you won't get access to the room. There was nothing in the booking confirmation nor in the terms and conditions about this hidden additional fee. This 120 USD was not communicated during and after booking with the agency and not agreed upon, this is misled advertising. Even contacted the agency where the hotel was booked about this fee, and they simply said in other words 'they can't do anything about it', which is absurd. The thing is, there´s no problem to pay it as long as it was communicated beforehand, cuz now it seems like being ripped off since they never made this extra fee visibile anywhere, until checking in. Would not call them greedy, but it looks like in the Caymans as experienced it, everybody is trying to get some money out of you in their own way. For this reason I reported this legally for misled advertising, fraud to fight legally for compensation. And that's why I give 3 stars as a whole, for being dishonest about the fee.

The Locale Hotel was a nice surprise. We wanted a less expensive property and one that had a beach we could use. The beach was about an 8-minute walk down the street and was NOT crowded. We sat under a tree on the beach every day and only saw people walking past for exercise but hardly anyone sitting near us on the beach. They provide you with beach chairs/towels, so it was worth the brief walk and to have sand underfoot, which some of the resorts no longer have much of, and nice to have space around you. The rooms were nice and spacious. You could hear a little night traffic as the rooms face the street side but nothing that would keep you awake at night. the bathroom had a nice sized shower. The breakfast was nice, although you have a certain section of the menu to choose from...again it was certainly adequate. Nice restaurants to walk to from the Locale and the people were helpful and friendly. They have a pool (4' deep) on the side of the Locale; not large but nice size to take a dip after the beach and sit around on the lounge chairs. All and all, we were very happy with our choice and would stay there again in the future. We didn't feel that we sacrificed much at the Locale vs. a larger resort on the island. You won't be sorry.

Room was surprisingly modern. Do not judge this book by its cover! Super nice staff, very comfortable room, very close to town and Camana area. Quick drive to our favorite beach spot. Grocery just across the intersection and down a bit. A little pricey for what you get.

Great place to stay. Very clean. Staff is exceptional. Nice having breakfast included on site. Very accommodating to children as well. Easy access to dining, beaches and other parts of the island. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and other beach gear available at no additional charge.

Wonderful and super helpful staff, central location, clean and comfortable rooms. I had second thoughts about not having direct beach access, but Ms Tyler went above and beyond to give us tips and point us to the right direction, we ended up exploring so many great spots and places in the island that we would otherwise not have gone to. Everyone on the staff was so lovely and helpful, and the central location made it easy to access all the must see spots!! The rooms were super clean and comfortable..Will definitely come back!! Thank you Ms Tyler for your wonderful hospitality!!

Very quaint hotel. Love everything about it. The room was perfect. Convenient location to everything (e.g, food, Georgetown, beach). Taxi stop right in front. Staff was courteous and friendly. I will definitely stay again.
