I genuinely don't recommend staying at this hostel. The experience was terrible, and here are my objective complaints: 1. **Shockingly Poor Hygiene:** The environment was truly filthy. As the photos show, large areas of the walls were peeling and moldy, an absolute eyesore. The sink was made of concrete with faucets covered in limescale. The basin beneath the sink was even worse, full of grime and mud stains. Even the shower floor had a thick layer of dark gray sludge and mildew, making it completely unappealing to shower. Overall, the hygiene was extremely substandard, posing significant health and safety risks. 2. **Cramped and Dilapidated Accommodation:** The room felt incredibly narrow and oppressive, almost as if the building was sagging, making it very cramped. The stairs were old wooden structures, and the common areas were extremely rudimentary, giving a sense of neglect and disrepair. 3. **The Most Absurd Slipper Requirement:** Upon check-in, guests were required to wear slippers, but the provided slippers were unbelievably dirty! After putting them on as requested, the soles of my feet were instantly covered in black dust and mud. It was as if the slipper soles had never been cleaned, covered in thick, old grime and stains. Forcing guests to wear slippers of such poor hygiene not only failed to provide cleanliness but actually made it disgusting. 4. **Terrible Service Attitude:** When addressing the hygiene issues and poor service, the staff's attitude was extremely perfunctory, even rude. They completely lacked the service awareness and problem-solving attitude expected of a hostel. **Summary:** If you're looking for value for money, avoid this place. The price is absolutely not worth this 'garbage' level of hygiene and cramped environment, not to mention the infuriating service attitude. I advise everyone to check out other options and definitely steer clear of this trap!

This was a terrible experience. The room was only accessible by stairs, and you had to take off your shoes to go upstairs, except in the lobby. Secondly, the room facilities were old, the comforter was very dirty, and there were so many mosquitoes that I used half a bottle of mosquito repellent to fight them. What's even stranger is that if you choose a 'room with a private bathroom,' you'll find yourself right next to a public restroom. The water pipes for anyone washing their hands or showering were connected to the room, so even I, someone who usually falls asleep instantly, couldn't sleep at all – it was incredibly painful. The next day, since I had booked for 3 days, I asked the front desk to cancel the remaining 2 days. The front desk only offered a room change (which wouldn't have made a difference, as the only other room on the same floor wouldn't have been any better, and the hygiene would still be terrible). When I refused the change, the front desk refused to refund the remaining nights, citing 'hotel policy.' I communicated with Ctrip multiple times about this situation, and you could tell the platform tried its best, as similar situations in the past could usually be resolved through negotiation, but this hotel was completely inflexible. I advise anyone coming to Penang who wants to save money or thinks they can put up with anything to avoid this hotel. This lengthy review is written with the hope that my fellow travelers can sleep peacefully and stay comfortably.

The place was exceptionally dirty. The floors weren't cleaned at all, yet guests were asked to walk barefoot. The slippers provided were covered in mud, and there were so many mosquitoes!
