Got a heart warming welcome, and brought up to speed with the self check in with utmost interest and professionalism, guided through the available services and activities as checked in quite late yet didn't feel left out. The facility was extremely marvelous. Considering my time spent, would definitely recommend it π€

Hotel clean and staff friendly. Room was small but clean. Food at dinner was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was limited in choice (continental/cooked) but what was there was nice. Overall good for a budget hotel.

Great hotel for price. Visited at start of my explore adventure holiday. On 1st , 2nd day alone. Then day 3 with my group and Walt my tour guide / tour leader π. Nothing bad to say about this hotel. I'd recommend to anyone wanting to relax after their flight π.

The staff went beyond my expectations to ensure a more than comfortable stay ! Friendly staff were eager to offer advice and assistance with any decisions from transport to food and beverage menu options.

I booked this stay extremely last minute and it was exactly what I needed. Close to airport, affordable price for a clean room, comfortable bed and hot shower. The staff was extrememly courteous and helpful.

After we missed our connecting flight, it was a pleasure staying here after a very stressful time. The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean & comfortable with everything we needed & the food was delicious. We leave happy & relaxed...thank you!

Place is very small overpriced. They should charge per hour...only stayed 6 hrs. Requested shuttle service but had to take taxi from airport. No phone in the room to contact reception...no wifi code. No bfast box. Shower was lukewarm in an icy JHB. I wont recommend staying here.

The services were superbly done. For a 2 star hotel, the room were tidy, neat and fit for purpose. The staff were courteous and polite. I loved the variety of food for breakfast. Good wifi connections. The location, which is convenient from the airport is a plus.

I travel extensively on business and am brand loyal. City Lodge provides great value for money with great service. Unless you want to stay at the Road Lodge Johannesburg Airport. I had to check myself in on arrival for a prepaid Website booking apparently because of COVID restrictions, but had to hand my ID card over and was handed the key card without any sanitizer. All other City Lodge hotels I stay at across the country have my information pre-printed on arrival and all I do as a returning guest is sign the registration form. This may seem petty, but I don't want to hassle with hotel admin after a long day traveling and attending meetings. Value for money 10/10. Service 0/10.
