The hotel was really nice, everything really modern and with all comfortables. Cleaning ok, maybe something to improve but nothing bad. Breakfast very good, they had everything in buffet.
Position good, no complaints at all!!
The only annoying thing was the light of the security that all the night was green and red, really annoying for people that like to spleep in the darkness.

This hotel is located in a quiet part of the village close to a small church and within walking distance of the centre. It’s modern in style and quite clean. The only disappointing elements of our stay was the lack of insulation between the rooms, making them noisy if someone checks in the middle of the night, and the breakfast. The service at breakfast was abysmal. Guests had to wait half an hour for fried eggs and baked beans. The toaster is not fit for purpose and creates unnecessary queues in an already stuffy room. They only serve ultra processed sliced bread which is a pity considering the lovely bread Gozo bakers could produce for this hotel. The fruit options could be so much better, whole apples and oranges are simply not enough, a plate of sliced fruit would have made the offering so much better for conscious eaters. The mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable, they need mattress toppers badly. On a positive note, the staff are really nice and welcoming.

Great little hotel. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms large, clean and comfortable. Only drawback being the restaurant and bar were no longer open despite all advertisements saying it is available. However they do offer a great breakfast choice. No restaurant or bar means a 15 minute walk to the main square where there is a great choice of establishments .

Kindly note that I have booked this hotel almost two months in advance and I was charged EUR 103, however when I checked the rates for today they range approximately EUR 60. So basically because I have booked almost 2 months in advance I was charged almost double the rate. Do not place any bookings with this hotel as it is a total rip off. Before I wrote this review I informed the receptionist on duty that I requested a fir of compensation for being charged almost double the room rate and he told me that he cannot do anything. I am sharing this on Trip Advisor so before anyone books with this hotel , one checks other hotels which probably would be more value for money and not a rip off, since I was charged almost double the rate. Shame on all the management of the Segond Hotel. You are utterly so disappointing.

Great experience at this newly opened hotel. Rooms are comfortable and just what we expected. The rooms don't have a fridge which is a pity otherwise nothing to complain. Breakfast quality an be improved but these are just suggestions dor consideration. Staff are exceptional - very sweet people. Well done!

Excellent in every way! This newly built boutique hotel is located in the quaint village of Xaghra. It is beautifully set in a maltese type of a square. As soon as you step in you'll feel that joy of welcome! Not just a typical one. Receptionists will go that extra mile to help as well as they are highly good mannered and courtious. Beautifully decorated with spacious rooms throughout. Lovely decorated inside which will give you the needed rest. It is well clean and tidy. Breakfast is top! Whatever you're up to they provide! Everything is cooked on time and hence fresh and crispy. Hats off to the kitchen staff and restaurant staff. Highly recommended and this for sure will not be my first time there. Will sure return. Thank you Alejandro and Carol and the maltese receptionist which I can't remember his name along with the other front office staff. You're all a Gem and a credit to the hotel. Chapeau!

The Segond Hotel is situated in the heart of the peaceful and picturesque village of Xaghra, Gozo. We were very impressed with the quality of service, we were welcomed with a warm smile and shown to our room which exceeded our expectations. It was full of thoughtful and useful touches, beautifully finished and extremely clean. Throughout our stay the staff were friendly, polite and professional , taking care to explain where and what to see locally. A stay at the Segond Hotel is a must for anyone who appreciates quality, service and good food. Highly recommended.

Hotel very clean, rooms spacious, staff friendly and breakfast superb with lots of choice of hot and cold food. Would greatly recommend to all who visit the magical island of Gozo.
